The PS3 version can use mods, not sure how extensive the mod support for it is though.

CSB time: One of my favorite gaming moments of all time is from C&C Renegade.

To the uninitiated, as you dealt damage (or your harvester collected Tiberium) you could purchase different infantry classes or vehicles. Nod players had access to stealth tanks and units (naturally).

So this Nod guy comes into our base in a stealth tank and hops out to plant a nuclear strike beacon without checking his flank. I spot him, hop in his now-abandoned tank, splatter him, then drive the tank over to their base and plant my own beacon.

Then, I hop back in the tank and mow down the engineers who try to defuse it by the fistful. Since I was stealthed, it was too easy. Down goes the power plant, and as I hightail out of the base, the rest of my team rallies straight up the middle like the proverbial cavalry, tanks and APCs full of demolitions to take the rest out.

It was glorious.

So is this a multiplayer game or does it have a single-player story mode?

Oh and it looks very impressive, on par with many current games from professional studios.

One of my favorite shooters of all time. Except for that damn electric sniper rifle. That thing hit HAAAARD.

Then again I was one of those bads who spawned with the Tiberium SMG.

Fans, who need to learn how to spell better than devs who are PAID to.

Renegade was one of the best lan party games of all time, it was always in our rotation when we'd throw a party.

I loved this game when it came out. I thought it did a really good job of putting you on the battlefield in the C&C universe. A Red Alert FPS would have been awesome as well.

I dont play online FPS multiplayer. Because no single FPS has released a multiplayer mode that comes REMOTELY CLOSE to being as amazing as C&C:Renegade.

They are letting us finish :)! They've given us their blessing, and it'll be free for all to play!

We're getting there! Will be sure to let the rest of the team know we hit Joystiq!

... anyway, back to the environments in my quiet corner...

Yeah, EA have actually been brilliant since the start - we've got a close relationship with the C&C community management team who have helped us run competitions and events in the past. We're not in the business of letting the community, fans or the IP down! :)

Just wish I had a bit more time personally to contribute to the project - I work as full time game artist as my job, then come home to work on this project - its like permanent crunch! :D
