Payday: The Heist delayed to 'later this month'

Nobody likes to discover that Payday's been moved. The PSN release of Payday: The Heist, the co-op robbery game by Overkill Software, is the subject of a rare release-day delay, bumped from its original date of today to "later in October." According to Steam, the PC version is also due in "October." We suppose a game with this many masks just gravitates toward Halloween.

Payday was to be the triumphant payoff of Sony's "PSN Play" promotion, and that offer is still in effect. If you've purchased all of the other PSN Play games, you'll still get your voucher for a free PS3 copy of the game.

Hrrrm.....PC version on a stable platform, versus PS3 (also known as 30-minute install) version on a platform that's been hacked more times than the Gibson. Why are you guys focusing on the PSN version?

PSN was hacked once. PS3 itself was probably hacked several times, but that pales in comparison to the hacking going on in PC games ¬_¬. The only difference is that laptop and pc creators don't care if you hack their systems.

So I fail to see the logic of your argument.

Oh, and they are focusing on PSN because its one of their swan songs for the network, I would have thought that was just common sense 0_o

ATI has been known to have issues with OpenGL before. This isn't new. PC gaming requires a bit of research to make sure you're buying the right stuff.

Oh well, was planning on getting it today.

Weird though, you'd think they realized they wouldn't be ready at least a few days earlier from release? unless a game crippling bug appeared at the last second.

Regreting getting all those games (PSN Play) to see this happen and now it gets closer to too many great games this and next month... specially BF3 and U3:DC

In my opinion, it's best for a game to be delayed rather than a game release and having to download patches every singe week. Glad to hear it's delayed. I'm getting the game day one.
