I really enjoyed this on the Mega Drive as a kid. I bet it hasn't aged well though.

Stop lying. I think we both know that age has no hold over this game.

*Boots up Megadrive*

I DIDN'T LISTEN!!!

But seriously, I am so f***ing pumped for this. PLEASE MAKE THIS REAL!!!

Castle of Illusion is already on the Virtual Console. That and World of Illusion are great games.

I never had either of those games when I was younger - but my brother and I did pick up MICKEY MANIA on Sega CD; which was pretty amazing, too.

Yeah World of Illusion was a fun co-op game.

Mickey Mania was an incredible game as well (though admittedly I played that for the SNES).

Sega Classics on PSN, maybe? If so, that'd be pretty awesome. I do like Sega Classics, especially when I get a free one with Plus every month. Now that I have a Mega Drive, I'm also building up a library of games on that too.

Hey kids, remember when Sega was actually good? Of course not. You're too young. As for me, none of my friends cared about Sega in the 90s and early 2000s, but it turns out my cousin did in the 80s because he secretly kept his Master System.

I have no idea what I'm talking about now. I'm just rambling. I need to sleep.

Of course I remember. I was that poor kid whose mom made the wrong decision and bought a Genesis instead of a SNes, depriving me of stuff like International Superstar Soccer and Donkey Kong Country.

Still, I played the CRAP outta it, good times. To this day I have a grudge against Kid Chameleon. Freaking hard game is freaking hard.

My parents also got the Genesis instead of the SNES, and I don't think it was the wrong decision at all. It had tons of great games and every time I saw something on the SNES that started to make me jealous, something else would come out that made me glad I had the Genesis. They made a good choice.

On the other hand, they also got a Master System. That one I haven't forgiven them for.

Poor kid?

Not as poor kiddish as my friend, back in the day he asked his dad to buy him a Megadrive when he went on a business trip.

2 weeks later, he opened the gift wrapping to find a brand new Amiga drive (a disk drive for an Amiga computer, which he did not have).

You know what else was hard? Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. That's the only game I haven't gotten the achievement for in the Sonic Mega Collection on 360. By the time I rage quit that damn game about five hours in on the SAME LEVEL....I was screaming at the TV and wanted to throw my controller.

Sure don't (for the most part) make games like that anymore.

Oh, and I remember this being one of the first games I got on the Genesis as a kid. If it's the one I'm thinking of (collect the various gems to make a bridge to the last castle and defeat the witch), it was fantastic. My older sister could play through and beat the game without losing a single life. I could not.

Good lord, I haven't heard this games name in a long, long time... This was always one of my favourites back when I was younger.

Whatever this is - remake, port or entirely new game - I will be buying this instantly.

Good game! I remember there being a good Donald Duck game for Genesis as well where you had a plunger gun or something. It's too early for researching though...

I played Castle of Illusion so much as a kid. I was a huge Mickey Mouse fan and I had just about every Mickey game out during the 8 and 16 bit era. Even that horrible Fantasia game and Mickey Mousecapade...don't even get me started...ugh!

I played this a lot too. I remember it having amazing graphics at the time. Really good parallax scrolling on all the levels and it also had a great soundtrack.

This was one of the games I bought a Genesis for. Nice, tight platforming coupled with great animation, graphics and sound. What's not to like?

That screwy Milk Bottle parallax scrolling was always a trip.

This game and Duck Tales for the NES are probably the two best licensed games I've ever played.

Awesome I loved this game! I personally preferred the Master System version to the Mega Drive but I would prefer any version getting released or a little remake. Bring on the Donald Duck and Ducktales games and it will be fantastic.
