Team Ninja has released the second round of its pre-alpha Dead of Alive 5 showcase. The construction site becomes a destruction fight, with Ryu knocking poor Hayate right into an ongoing car crash. A vehicle hasn't been this useful since the Daytona car made it into Fighters Megamix.

I'm glad they are finishing the Story...and by that I'm glad they are finishing the Boob jiggle detail to the highest extent.

By story you also mean: a completely nonsensical lack of any narrative that explains any motives or why any of the characters do what they do out side of some hating others for blurry reasons or some sort of random organization making a grab for power. Or course I've described about a dozen fighting game stories but at least in those games you have personalities to attach to those characters while they're doing the same things.

Wow, that was awesome! This is how fighting games should evolve toward. Probably won't look as epic out of theater mode, but still, they're pulling a lot of pretty cool moves!

I find it funny some DOA characters have weapons, but don't use em. They don't need to, because their just that bad-ass. One of my favorite first time fighters I picked up on the original Xbox.

I'd buy that game.
Although the environmental occurrences still look very canned, there is a certain excitement to fighting in DoA that is absent in other fighters.
I wish games like Soul Calibur or Tekken would make better use of environmental changes during a match. There's no reason not to have it both ways in a single game.

Well, the combat seems solid as always... but I'm not too keen on the concept of complex grapples/cutscenes.

I really like DOA2 and Hardcore... but with 3 they made some changes to the series I disliked and I never went back to the series. Perhaps I should finally reconsider the series? The environment interaction is fantastic.
