Who do they expect to buy this? Although it was probably made at the same time as the game, so releasing it now will just be profit, even if just a few people buy it.

You can grab it for £8 which is $12.50. New. I think it was in Game, but may have been somewhere else.

@Alexisonfire So what? The day one Gears of War 3 locked on-disc content was $45 (granted it's Gears of War, but still, it was just different textures and shaders for the guns).

A normal pack of bubblegum from the Duke costs an ass whooping.

$3 for gum? Crap, I've been buying mine at $1 a pack, occasionally even at $1 for 3 packs, but that's much rarer.

I'm sorry, but the word "smart" does not apply to anyone that bought this game.

Hot Potato ("See who can hold on to the babe the longest")

Isn"t the goal of the traditional game of hot potato to get rid of said potato as quickly as you can?

PS 1001st comment on Joystiq! Woot!

PPS On second thought, has anyone actually ever even played hot potato, with a real potato that is hot? I don't think I ever have.

@DBuckEye

This is more akin to Halo's Oddball than Hot Potato. In Hot Potato for a video game it's typically some sort of bomb or other explosive and the point is generally "don't blow up".

I... honestly think this is the game that would have come out 10 years ago if the company that made it had no sense whatsoever (killing it was probably the smartest move of their careers) Minus a few minor upgrades, maybe?

Strangely, if they named this the "The Duke Armor Pack" I'd probably by it just for the lulz.

Yes we are all gonna drop Dark Souls, RAGE, The Team ICO Collection, GoW Origins Collection, Gears of War 3, Resistance 3, RE4 HD, Deus Ex, Dead Island, Spider-Man, and whatever else we are playing for this dog turd of a game.

Still looking forward to this even though I won't be paying/playing it.

Gearbox is still a pretty funny group so a parody pack will be cool to see.

Well, I for one am stoked. I loved Duke Nukem Forever. Reviews were all over the place - which proves this game has an audience - it's just not for everyone. If you understand and appreciate the humour and the run and gun style - then this game is damn near perfect. Plus it's had some updates recently to make it run a bit more smoothly.

Bottom line - I'll have this DLC and get much use out of it - and if anyone wants to join me for some Dukematches on the new maps - I'm on Xbox Live: Axcalibur (just send me a message saying you're a Joystiq'r - just so I know you're not some crazy stalker...)

Maybe Gearbox should forget about this one and make a new Duke game from scratch. That way, it may be good this time around.
