That is a gorgeous stick, but there is no way I'd pay the $250 for the bundle. All black everything...nice.

@QuakerOatsGuy

When you can get a hitbox for $250 then why would you get this bundle anyway?

My friend bought one and it's pretty awesome.

@Captaindrek1 Because not everyone enjoys using hit boxes? Sure, they have their advantages, but there is no reason to not use a stick instead if that's what you prefer.

@themisanthrope Kinda curious how you got all that under $100. Unless you're talking just the customization and not the HRAP itself.

I got the hrap3 on Amazon last year for about 70 dollars. Buttons were only a few bucks each. Then a little printing shop somewhere didn't charge much for the image I wanted.

all black arcade stick with classy oldschool namco logo is looking REALLY nice. if they sold that separately, i would buy it. unfortunately, i'm not a huge Tekken fan, and i certainly don't want to pay a $100 premium for a special edition game that i'm not too interested in. i hope namco and madcatz consider giving that stick a separate release...

@Yongousen Congrats on living under a rock since 09. The only part of the Mad Catz TE that's manufactured by them is the case itself. Buttons and stick are all arcade quality parts(sanwas to be exact) and it's always been that way with the TE. The SE sticks are less than desirable, but are easily modded and fit most buttons straight out of the box.

So basically you get..

- A TE stick that's been re-colored
- A game that won't see any competitive play since TTT2 is around the corner (and if not re-balanced, all you'll see are Mishima and Ogre teams.. like in 2000s)

...and some other crap.

This is all coming from a company that dumbed down the Dark Souls CE as well (and apparently didn't provide enough copies -- glad I got one)..

No thanks.

it would be a sweet deal for around 150 bucks, but someone could just get an se street fighter stick or a wwe brawl stick for about 40 and throw in a sanwa stick + buttons for 50 bucks more

Why does it feel like there's more fightsticks than there are fighting games these days?

Didn't light guns used to be in a similar situation?

@MortimerWise

Because there are.

The stick is an accessory. And like all accessories, you want to collect different models for different occasions.

You wouldn't wear high-heels to a party without the right dress. Know what I mean?

Probably if it weren't for the bit about being a "ClubNamco online store exclusive ".

MadCatz also makes the PCB inside them, so thats always something to have into consideration. And although MC has stepped their game up tremendously with the TE sticks (more thanks to sanwa parts), I would stick with Hori arcade sticks.

@grayfoxxx

To tell the truth Hori sticks seemed to be on par, if not dominated Evo. Especially with sponsored players who where no part of Team MC...I saw countless HARPS and HRAP V3 sticks with several Hori premium VLX as well.
