ok, but i never played 1 or 2.... Should i get those as well? Honestly this isn't my type of game, but i really enjoyed the Beta for 3. Plus Starhawk did look interesting.

At least give them a rent. Even if you don't get close to finishing them, you'll still get a proper taste, I'd say.

There's wasn't too much continuity between 1 and 2, so in terms of a complete narrative, I don't' think playing 1 and 2 in prep for 3 is necessary. But they're such electrifying experiences in the first place, that I can't imagine why this wouldn't be someone's type of game unless they hate action movies. (However some of my friends are always by how some levels are designed to be a linear environment. I don't have a problem with it.).

Lucky for you they have an Uncharted 1 & 2 bundle you can pick up for like $30 or so. It's definitely worth it since they're some of the best exclusives on the PS3.

I just recently played through both of them (within the past month) and I got to say they are pretty good games. If anything, buy the hell out of 2 and rent 1. In my opinion, the second one was just so much better than the first in terms of narrative and gameplay. The first one was good, but it's narrative was uninspired and not nearly as interesting as the second one. Do keep in mind that this is just opinion, but if you like a well told story in your games, then Uncharted 2 is the one for you.

@Vladeon

Uncharted 1's narrative was uninspired? If you didn't like it that's one thing but calling it uninspired (of all things) is the most baseless & dooshiest words anyone has ever uttered (typed) on Joystiq.

What the hell is wrong with people now-a-days? If Something as awesome as Uncharted can be categorized as uninspired I'd love to know what would qualify as inspired. Must be the snobbiest gamer evar.

I loved Uncharted, and the story really wrapped me up, but calling it uninspired is perfectly fair. Nathan Drake is Indiana Jones + Malcom Reynolds after all. Uncharted's strength is in its unmatched presentation, not its unoriginal and uninspired plot.

@Roxas560 Uncharted is the reason I bought my PS3 and for Blu-ray, but mostly because of Uncharted.

the double pack is only $40. what are you waiting for?

(keep in mind that in the first game, you want to go for as many headshots as you can, otherwise the stream of enemies might seem endless. Then you'll be alright).

Starhawk is a FANTASTIC game and this is AWESOME news.

I played the crap out of it at E3, going back to their booth way more times than a person should, and I'm really looking forward to it.

If you ever have to battle a mech when you're on your own with no vehicle, throw lots of grenades and stay close to the feet! ...just not too close

Nice. I was going to get Uncharted anyway so this is a cool bonus. I like how Sony is putting betas for their future games into their current ones as bonuses. That almost makes up for them doing these silly online passes now.

i have no intrest in starhawk so the voucher code would either go in the bin or given to a friend who likes the game, not that we would get this offer in europe anyway.

I don't understand why you wouldn't use the code yourself.

If you don't have any interest, perhaps playing it for yourself will build interest. I can't count how many games I didn't think I'd like won me over after finally trying them out.

I'm sure PSN+ subscribers will get in as well, sooo since I only car about the singleplayer of Uncharted 3 it's still a rental for me.

I'm sure GameStop will find a reason that this conflicts with some yet to be released GS owned product and pull the codes from retail boxes.
