Not sure I'm willing to pay $15 for that. I'll wait for a discount.

8 hours is the length of most FPS games, like COD or GOW. $15 is a good deal if its really that long. If you added up all of the ME2 DLC you might get 8 hours, and that was a lot more than $15.

@mwatcher $15 does seem a bit steep but Eidos Montreal is definitely a development group I'm willing to support, and if it does end up being about 5 hours then I'll be getting 10 out of it minimum (2 playthroughs are guaranteed), so it's a good value overall.

I don't know, I'm skeptic about forking more than 10$ on DLC so soon after release. Don't get me wrong, DE:HR is my GOTY so far and I'd like more content and got the money for it.
Like I said, I don't know if i'll get it at that price, considering they are selling us guns that should have been in game at the start as DLC, I got a meh feeling about the DLC approach/In-game loading pub with DE:HR.

$15 for 5 hours of gameplay?
HA!
I thoroughly enjoyed the new Deus Ex, but I will most certainly be passing on this. Thats just obscene pricing.

@Oddgirl
Considering that people just payed $60 for around 45-50 hours of playtime, pumping that up to $15 for 5ish is pretty absurd.
Limbo was an amazing experience. I'd say few people bought that thinking it would be a lengthy experience. People bought it because it was a unique experience. I know I paid for it to endorse creativity in games. Even then, I'd say most people agree it was overpriced. Same with your movie example. Everytime I go to the movies I get ripped off. But I do it for the social experience with friends/girlfriend.
Paying $15 for a short piece of DLC to a long game is just going to continue the increasing ripoff that DLC represents. There are many, many better ways to spend $15 than on a 5hr piece of DLC.

How exactly is 5-8 hours short? Uncharted 2 was about that short. That is the length of a FULL $60 game. Mass Effect 2 DLC was $8-12 for 2-3 hour missions and people were shitting their pants over more ME2 dlc.

I agree with what you said. Others are comparing the 5-8hrs and the $15 in a complete vacuum. I think it's important to consider that we already paid around $60, and that $15 is 25% of the game's retail price in exchange for a much smaller amount of gameplay time (not to mention that DLCs have no trade-in value).
I loved DX, but was expecting $10.

That's the same day as Batman! Which do I play first?
This isn't the first time I've had to choose like this.

Also, about the price:
Guys, how many of you have paid ten bucks for a two hour movie?
If we're going to judge the DLC based on length, then it's more than double the content for just 50% more in price. Does that not seem like a good deal?
By this standard, nobody would have picked up Bastion. Or Limbo.
Be glad you aren't Canadian. This stuff will cost over twenty loonies.

Anyway, the game is certainly better than most games released these days - but still, it's nowhere near as good as the original Deus Ex.

I don't like 15 dollars, but I'll probably end up getting this anyways. Dead Space severed was 7 dollars and was really short. If this is 5-8 hours, it might be worth it.

Agreed. But only if that 5-8 hours feels consistently fresh and isn't too recycled from the main game. Pigsy's Perfect 10 was like four hours, and I just wanted it to end despite loving Enslaved. $15 for five+ hours doesn't sound so horrible otherwise.

5 hours sounds right, but I don't know. Still not sure if I'm that interested. I'll hold off for opinions from the early adopters.

if this was a year where I would be starved for quality games I might consider 15 bucks... this is not that year.

I love the game, but not gonna pay $15 for DLC unless is adds something significant. I know there are no new weapons and no new augmentations, in fact you lost all of your augmentations as part of the DLC story, so I will wait for some reviews and ask some friends if any end up getting it.
It's a lot to pay for DLC (I was expecting $10 at the most), so I'll wait to see if (hopefully) PS+ gets a discount.

$15 seems pricey considering I thought the main game was extremely underwhelming...I'll see if there is a PSN+ discount on it first.

No thanks 4.99 or 9.99 would of been great but no thanks! 14.99 is to much!

Wow, that is a bit much. I only paid about $10 more than that for the entire game.

$15 is alright for 5+ hours.. im curious to see if you can play the game and DLC kicks in at the right time, and benefits carry over from DLC to the regular campaign
