Pretty nice logo. I guess Level-5 would like this to be a Final Fantasy killer?

I'm 95% sure they don't expect that in anyway.

Nobody needs to make a Final Fantasy Killer, Square's doing that on their own.

@MystcLazrDragon Don't underestimate Hino's ambitiousness. The logo is certainly FF-esque.

The logo is reminiscent of a FF logo, but that doesn't mean they intend to kill final fantasy. Maybe they just want a slick looking logo.

Well Ive always thought this game looked like the FF that should have been. Hopefully it will be that game, if they want to take over as the defacto JRPG then they have my vote since Square doesnt seem to be up to the job.

I'm not sure. With all of the wacky characters and the art-style, I got more of a Dragon Quest feel from it than and FF-feel.

And they did develop DQ8...

I guess we can forget about getting preorder bonuses. I really wish Atlus had gotten publishing rights.

Atlus, NIS or even XSEED. They all have been doing pretty good with extra pack-ins as of late.

Yay! So now they can fudge up the release of this game in addition to dark souls! I'm still glad this is coming, but i would've preferred someone like atlus to publish it...

Yeah, I'm with you on that. Given how bad Bamco fubared the whole Dark Souls release fiasco, I can't wait to see how they screw up publishing this one...

They just seem genuinely interested in pleasing fans and providing gifts and bonuses for the heck of it. They're the game industry's mom & pop shop that still take the time to go that extra mile for their customers. Huge props to 'em!

Not after no normal people buy it because of the title; thus jeopardizing the localization of future niche Japanese games.

Why Namco Bandai out of all the publishers? I wished Atlus was the ones publishing it. I guess we should expect a ton of content cut just so they can make it a DLC and charge for it.

I want this game so bad. The only thing I want more than this game from Level 5 is a new Jeanne D'Arc for Vita.

I would love to see another Jean D' Arc. I don't think it sold as well as they would have liked to see another though. Great game and I really enjoyed the story.

Yes please. Surely with the success of the Layton series, they won't skimp on a DS release in the west?

It would be a shame especially since it is a completely different game and not just a port.

Not to mention the fact that when saw the first screens and news items about this game on the DS, I was really looking forward to seeing a world like that crammed into the DS' teensy frame. Now that it's on the PS3, it just doesn't seem so impressive. It's just a "regular" console game. That's also a reason I would really like to play the DS one first.

I know the DS game was announced way before the PS3 one, but was there ever any mention which game was actually the "original"? Because, Idunno, this just seems like one of those cases where they were going to do something really great on the handheld, and then some people started whining that they wanted to see it on the big screen. When things like that happen, the new game usually ends up feeling more watered down to me than improved...

@BPMOmega XBL PSN Steam

The book that came with the DS version is the issue. It was very large and expensive. The translation and the cost are the two biggest issues. The PS3 version has the "book" in the game as a menu.

That being said, I would love them to still release it. I guess alot will depend on how this version does. Everyone please by this new!

I am glad they keep the name Ni No Kuni because that is how everybody knows the game by now. This game is going to be quite an amazing experience, it will be like controlling a Spirited Away movie, Yes.

That's what every who has been following it and asking for it to come over knows it as. It's got "name brand" recognition.

What a load. This has been one of the best years for PS3 gaming. If you haven't gotten any use out of it, maybe you should get rid of it.

You do realise the PS3 is getting The Last Guardian don't you? That title alone makes it a must own system.

I think I've only played one good JRPG this gen - Lost Odyssey. Western RPGs have been great this gen, but I still hanker after the Japanese stuff, if only they could recapture the magic. Ni no Kuni could be that game...
