PixelJunk SideScroller moves right into PSN on Oct. 25

Q-Games' PixelJunk SideScroller will fly from left to right onto the North American PSN next week. The October 25 launch date comes from Q-Games' Twitter feed (which scrolls vertically). SideScroller is the latest downloadable title from the talented developer of PixelJunks Shooter, Eden and Racer.

The studio is also working on PixelJunk 4AM (formerly Lifelike), which we've managed to encapsulate as such: "You have to play it to understand it!"

I hope they do a Pixeljunk RPG.

They originally had a PixelJunk Dungeons that seemed like it might be an action rpg / Roguelike dungeon crawl. Seems to have disappeared.

I don't care what anyone says, Monsters was the best. Still crossing my fingers for another good tower defense on PSN. Fieldrunners would be sweet if they HD it. So blurry as a miniS.

Big fan of the Pixeljunk series, but I'm not terribly excited about this one.

me neither. i think it's for the young folk. too many things to dodge for my old reflexes, plus, aren't bullet-hell-ish shooters a dime-a-dozen?

I don't know why, but I'm having problems getting excited about this one. Monsters is probably my favorite downloadable game on the PS3. Eden was beautiful. Shooter was a blast in co-op. But for some reason Sidescroller just isn't doing it for me.

Have to admit I'm kind of excited for this. Looks like a quality sidescrolling shmup.
