I hope they update the street pass as well, right not it's just collecting puzzles and fight ghosts, they should make more out of this feature.

They will. We heard earlier that there will be an update to the built-in games. There will be new puzzles to trade and collect, as well as some new kind of Find Mii adventure.

As for additional Street Pass features, lots of games take advantage of it. There are some people I regularly trade ghosts with in Ridge Racer. I'm certain that Nintendo's upcoming games like Mario Kart will capitalize heavily on the feature.

I'm hoping they announce the rest of the Ambassador Program games there as well. I'm not counting on it since it's not really a huge announcement or anything, but it would be nice.

If the firmware update brings a better virtual console experience for the NES games, then im ok with it in the meantime. I'll be damned if I'm going to replay Adventures of Link again without real save states. I earned my keep already, now I just want to have fun with the game.

These games have save states. Simply quit the game, and it saves your state.

If you are looking for multiple save states so you can cheat... sorry buddy. Play the game or don't, but don't cheat.

I'm still expecting some holiday bundles for DSi and/or 3DS. Maybe they'll be announced here.

It's probably Nintendo proclaming they are going to DefCon 3.

Anyone else notice that all of the 3ds colors seem to be out of stock on Amazon?

@beckles
yeah, I've noticed that for a while and haven't found any real answers for it. Unless Amazon is stockpiling for the holidays. I can't imagine them giving up on the handheld before it's first real holiday season with a mario game coming out to boot.

This just in! 3DS price cut incoming, new price will be $100. Current Ambassador programs will be upgraded to Kings, while newer adopters will receive the current Ambassador benefits. In response, higher-ups at Nintendo are taking another 50% paycut, and have chosen to use old refrigerator boxes for there offices.

Also announcing Cardboard Rocket, the newest 3DS inspired by Miyamoto and his imagination with his own box.

There was previously talk of Flipnote coming to the 3DS as a freebie. That's probably at least one part of the firmware update.

can't believe you guys don't have at least someone in the team that can read moonspeak. It's not a conference first of all, it's a recorded presentation. It's not about Mario Kart, it's an extension of the 3DS conference about features that couldn't be covered in that conference. The mario kart thing is there merely as an example.

It's one thing to be ignorant and trust second-hand sources, quite another to ignore what's written on the wall by Nintendo themselves and make something up entirely.

If the words "there will not be the ability to "Snake" in Mario Kart" appear in that presentation - I will promptly pre-order Mario Kart 7.

Bonus points for "host migration" or at least "auto-win" if the host disconnects.

Lots of trolls today. The 3DS is selling much better now that the price has been cut and there are a ton of games coming this holiday and next year.

Stop being so ungrateful and impatient. Nintendo isn't God, they can't magically produce a dozen games every month. They have limited resources, just like every other developer. Right now their biggest team is hard at work finishing up Skyward Sword; Miyamoto and friends can't be everywhere at once.

I have a 3DS and I love it. Yes I wish there was a messaging system in place, but that is coming eventually. Remember when the PS3 was launched, it had none of the features you see today. These things take time to implement, that's the whole reason we have firmware updates.

Ungrateful? People are paying MONEY for these things. Since Nintendo has repaid their dues (at least for most people) there can be only one solution: there are only the displeased, stubborn, and impatient. Which is fine, as every console has these types.
