No kidding. I wasn't a fan of the NES games or even the NES for that matter. GBA on the other hand... bring it on. NES was a home console so they can't argue that they only have portable stuff on the eshop. That said, add SNES content and nobody will ever be able to complain about the 3DS again.

New Streetpass game, eh? That's interesting, but really I just need more Find Mii hats and Puzzle Pieces! Lots more!! I took my 3DS to ComicCon and completely destroyed those modes in less than 2 days.

Same here. I haven't had any new puzzle pieces since July! and my coins are maxed so I don't even carry it around with me anymore.

That'll be a nice addition to the system... I know that it's cool to belabor the lack of retail games for the system (and it's starting to irritate me, too-- I've really only cared about four, and only kept two), but this is fairly interesting for the simple fact that it proves Nintendo is willing to update the built-in stuff.

Now, if it was something that would help me burn off some of those play coins I've had sitting around, it might be really interesting.

I was thinking that, but honestly, developers are still getting used to the hardware/software. This time next year, I think the games will start rolling in. I expect a lot of gimmicky 3d titles, but I also expect a few well thought out ideas. Dual screens were gimmicky at one point but later on innovators brought good use to it with games like TWEWY. Just imagine a 3D like game with that kind of thinking behind it.

See, I was thinking that back in July, but it's an excuse that's starting to wear thin. Let's be honest here: by the nine month mark in the DS's lifespan-- by August of 2005-- there were plenty of games available, and even some good ones like Meteos, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Warioware Touched, and Puyo Pop Fever. Compared to now, nine months after the 3DS launch, there's really next to nothing available for the machine. I've no idea why, but it's annoying.

Will it help me to find someone to actually street pass with? I've carried my 3ds with me since the week before the price drop and I still haven't hit a single other person.

I feel for you. I've had it since launch and only have 12 people in my plaza. I just want a new puzzle, is that too much to ask?

Get out of your niche and go to the airport, a nerdy college, New York City, or some event for nerds (Comic Con, E3). You'll find heaps of people

Good. I need another reason to StreetPass 'cause I've exhausted all opportunities already.

I do also hope that they make StreetPassing less of a hassle, like letting you get more than 10 at a time, and not forcing you to play the minigames before you can get more. That got really annoying.

My guess on the new street pass game is that it won't "run out". Like how you could beat the both the Puzzle and Find Mii games, I think they're making a game that will last forever. Because as soon as more people beat all the street pass games, they'll have to make another, and another. It would only make since to make a game that doesn't end. How they will do this, I can only guess.

Like arcade games from the 70s or early 80s.

@penubag I can imagine a pokémon-card-like-game, or something, but with upgradable abilities. Sorta like a card trading game combined with a mini-RPG. You could have some mascot (not a Mii, but rather something like the cats in StrertPass quest/ Find Mii) that you could upgrade, and you could have a team with 4-5 mascots with different abilities. If you win, you'll get experience points to use for update your mascots, and you could of course use Play Coins as well. Kind of like the figurine mode in SSFIV, bit more rewarding, maybe with Nintendo trivia?

That would be quite a fun game, but in reality, I don't think Nintendo would make a full-fledged game like how you describe. It will most likely be as simplistic as the existing streetpass games

Awesome. Another StreetPass game that's going to sit there not being used because no one can find anyone to StreetPass with.
