Who knows maybe they're aiming for people who are really into the Blue Man Group? You know, Blupies.

@Hoops It's not like they're trying to sell all those Red Bull ___ videos. The DreamWorks shorts have actually been pretty entertaining.

Yeah, those ones at least weren't ads like the trailers/Discovery ones.

I might be being overly optimistic here, but I feel like this probably has more to do with DreamWorks wanting to charge for the videos than Nintendo. Hopefully anyway... *crosses fingers and hopes this doesn't become a trend*

So they designed an app that deletes videos automatically so they can charge you for them later?

Mind you, they do repeat these videos constantly.

While most of them aren't worth even repeating or even owning, some of them are rather worth it. Other than the obvious Dreamworks shorts, you've also got the artistic videos... that I can't remember their odd names.
But honestly, some of them are great in 3D and some of them are just downright good videos - worth it for those who want to keep them.

Come on 3DS... there are some great games coming out for it but the road to it is more like a path covered in dog poop and glass and you have to eat the dog poop and glass.

Some of the videos people would want are exclusive for the 3DS (not released on dvd, website, or anything else)........... which makes it difficult to find on youtube. Actually ridiculously difficult, I've found out.

I personally liked the Dreamworks werewolf short. Definitely worth owning just to watch at my convenience - and for anyone else who wants to borrow my 3DS.

The 3DS is proven without a shadow of a doubt how awesome the GameBoy family was during its run. It's always a treat going back to that system.

But...Fish Tank...

Are you kidding? They can't just "forget" about those videos, finding Nintendo stuff to get their panties in a bunch over is like a sport to them.

Who cares about Double Dragon if there's some random video thing you can use as an excuse to go "oh gawwwd nintendo, you're sooooo dumb!:"

It really is strange how things differ from site to site.

In one site, you see people hating on Nintendo Power and not caring if it goes away - in this site, there were a surprising amount of Nintendo Power supporters who weren't even diehard Nintendo fans...

In several other sites, you see people wishing they could keep certain videos they've seen in Nintendo Video and were willing to dish out $1.99 for them (considering that's as low as eShop prices can go) - making this news VERY good news. In this site, you see tons of people who find this news absolutely preposterous - with a mixed bag of those who never cared for Nintendo Video, or those who have never seen any Nintendo Video.

Not saying it's blasphemy that many of you think that way - just saying that the culture here is very different from other sites.

@Baha05 2 bucks on itunes will buy you an hour episode of a tv show or some full movie rentals, this is hilarious bullshit in comparison.

Like Wii's VC, looks like Ninty's giving the overlooked retro games a chance to bask in the spot light, though briefly. They're not going to put out all the best GB games in one week, and it will take a little while til we see some good eShop exclusives.

Never downloaded it, thought.
And on the other hand, we haven't got Netflix yet.
