dude, you're still drooling... me, too ...

Anybody here gonna take the whole day off (from work, school, volunteer, intern, humanitarian, even a scheduled brain surgery) just to play this game on Oct. 25? I know I won't (I have a life!).

but hell, I'll get no sleep for the weekend!

I skipped school for Counter-strike and DotA. so i can't give "rezhoner" flak for that.

@rezhoner

get some buddies, better to share the blame w/ more people than getting the full blunt of the damage :D

Some games deserves day one particular attention (while I can) like BF3, maybe Skyrim, and indeed Zelda in a month.

@eat it

Maybe not, but it'll probably be the last time :p
But admit it, you're jealous cuz you can't afford a day off, while I'll be jumping a 500m cliff while doing headshots at the same time I deploy a parachute (in my dreams).

If its gonna be like any, COD 4 is the only acceptable, Coherent one.

I think Battlefield 3 will have its own feel though. And itll be better done.

Hate all you want, but the Black Ops *single player campaign* was one of the most engaging of the series.

Despite Joystiq poking fun at some broad tropes, I didn't see enough to complain about...Acting was fine. Though I was busy being impressed by the facial animation.

@Fugaku It wouldnt matter anyway dude. Origin is required ti play the game no matter where you buy it. Just buy it on Origin already..there's NOTHING wrong with the platform other than the fact that it's "another" program to have running.

"previously on Battlefield ..." (Keifer Sutherland voicing)

seriously though, I wish they have a 3d theatrical film of games w/ awesome cinematic drama (CoD:MW, Uncharted, Mass Effect, LA Noire, the list goes on!). forget having it in imax 3d, i just want these games on the big screen (also, i'd like to play them on it, too. dream on!)!

the trailer feels like MW1 (hostage scene) + MW2 (breaching, water, battalion assault) + LA Niore (cinematic drama, detailed facial expressions) + its own flavors (tanks, dogfights).

Oh, man. PS3 or PC?! Which one should I get?!

Well, If you can run it over the reccomended settings on PC, get it on PC. I couldnt bare to have it running at anything lower, It doesnt deserve that.

PS3 is still a great looking version of the game though.

Im getting it for PS3.

ah, a brethren of the black box society! I have a PS3 version preordered (my mistake was reserving it on my nearest GameStop, should've preordered online for cheaper), i'm just considering a "what-if-i-played-it-on-my-laptop?" scenario (I have a 15" summer 2011 macbook pro, w/ win7 bootcamp, so im thinking maybe i can play it over there. im not sure if i'm missing out on better graphics on gameplay).

@balbonits If your PC can handle it, definitely get the PC version. 64/32 players vs. 24, commo rose, mouse and keyboard controls and better graphics are a few reasons I would go PC is given the option of picking between the two.

I built a new PC a month ago and the Beta looked great on it. The console versions were a noticeable step down graphically and control-wise, IMO.

sir, you are certainly not the minority. most of the stuff we saw on the trailer came from the campaign. maybe you're thinking that most gamers play online most of the time. they are many, but not "most".

Some of them games go waaaaay overboard with clichés.

Now downvote people, I don't care. I don't care for this series either (or MW3), so I don't even know why I'm commenting here.
