Arkham City gets an official mammal-with-webbed-wings app for iOS

Batman is great at fighting crime, using gadgets and not killing people. He's not, however, that creative in naming things -- Bat cave, batmobile, batarang, batclaw, ~~Batgirl~~. His wordsmith skills may be lacking, but this predictability makes naming the official Batman: Arkham City iOS app extremely easy. It's the Chiroptera app, obviously.

Fine, it's the bat app. Whatever you call it, the Arkham City official map app is a handy tool to help keep track of progress through the game, showing the locations of hundreds of Riddler trophies and item hotspots, and allowing users to mark off the ones they've collected. Developer Dorling Kindersley made a similar app extension for Dead Island. The bat app is available for the same price, $2.99, right now on iTunes.

an app WOULD be cooler if it communicated with the actual game.. rather than manually checking off everything

this is like the most useless app as long as you interrogate the riddler's goons the ones you don't have appear. Unless this also tells you how to get them save your money,

They need to make a way to find riddles, on my map it shows [ ] indicating a riddle.. but I dont know where it is exactly/what i'm suppose to look for X_X

got given a few riddles, and I kind of liked em.. but when I go LOOKING for em, I cant find em even though i'm in the location>_>

I think those are the ones you have to scan the environment to solve. And the [ ] is the vantage point where you can see the answer around you somewhere.

Got a problem with this game:

When you're looking for mr. Freeze in the beginning of the game, and you have to go to GCPD to get in through the vehicle entrance, I use the electrical device and the door is SUPPOSED to open for you to slide BUT it doesnt open at all for me.

anybody else having this problem?

Use both RB and LT on it quickly (or perhaps two of just one will do) and it will open slightly. You have to run and slide under it.

A better solution would be to pay attention to which way the arrows are pointing. One of the buttons makes the door move one direction and the other button makes it move the other direction. You only have to hit one or the other, not both in combination.

to get this, you must be lazy or have an extremely good reason, like you cant feel your legs or something. completely irrelevant but i cant think of anything less warranting this purchase.

Um it tracks your progress through the actual game. WTF do you need this dumb $3 app for?

And what's the deal with these things? Wasn't the exact same rip off released for Dead Island? And something else before that.
