Autumnal consumerism is usually linked with holidays based around turkeys and/or trees, but that hasn't stopped Amazon from conjuring up some scary-good deals to celebrate All Hallow's Eve.
The available gambit of creepy-eepy savings is fairly all-inclusive, ranging from Halloweenish gore-fests like Dead Island, Rise of Nightmares and Left 4 Dead, to the more subtle, yet still emotionally horrifying Catherine. There are a few odd-balls in there like Dead or Alive Dimensions and Duke Nukem Forever, although we suppose Duke is terrifying in a more abstract sense of the word.

Holy sh*t! It actually linked to amazon.

@beano311 A lot of the time the source link is only marginally useful, especially if they talk about several things in one post... because then there are several links, but they all go to a tags page on Joystiq.
It happens a lot and is rarely intuitive. So yeah, I'm surprised when the link in the post actually does that too.

I'm having a tough time deciding between Catherine and Deus Ex, but I think I have to side with Catherine. That game wins in presentation, originality and in emotional impact. If you're a gamer that seeks a connection to a game's world and makes you feel for its characters, Catherine is top tier.

Dead Island for $40 is tempting

@(Unverified) I personally thought Dead Island was super fun. Maybe could have used a tad more polish, but worth picking up IMO.

If you own a PC none of these deals are Steam competitive except for the direct downloads.
Dead Island key was only $40 on release date and is only $30 now. Still, I'll wait for the Steam sale that's due in a month or so. Amazon just can't compete with games selling for $2 or $3.

Deathsmiles is an underrated gem. The boss of the game is Tyrannosatan; surely that's worth at least a couple of points in everyone's book.

It's kind of been lame that Amazon still has Love Is Over editions of Catherine when supposedly it was only made for "preorder demand".

Also, I wish there was some super special deal on Splatterhouse. I've been wanting to play it, but I've been hoping it'd hit $10 eventually lol

3DS games really need to leave the $40 range because $30 isn't feeling like much of a sale (I know, I know, I've owned a PSP, but step 2 of Nintendo getting a 3DS in everyone's hands should be influencing a trend of price drops in games).

If I remember correctly, several first party DS games launched at $40

Why do you have to suck so much amazon.ca? How hard can it really be for you to have the same deals as amazon.com?
