Just the mere mention of "fan fiction" makes me shudder.

@SMTDante

I've actually read some very good dramatic fan-fiction on FanFiction.net.

Yes, a lot of it is sexual fantasy ("SasukeXNaruto", "SamusXRidley"), but there are quite a few stores that are just hard-boiled drama written by some very good authors

@Korbie

I think her writing is actually pretty good.

That said, I don't like some of the choices she made in her Star Wars books. Long story short, she shoe-horned in a storyline that had no place being where it was but the writing itself was fine.

There's actually a lot of controversy surrounding what happened with her and Star Wars, you can read about it on Wookiepedia if you're curious.

@Korbie

The first Gears of War novel was horrible.... that's all I've read of hers.

The ODST was actually going to say "I loath you"

Alternatively: "I love juice"

I read that excerpt, and really I have no interest in reading the rest. I don't like the writing at all.

Well she wrote in Halo: Evolutions. It's pretty good. I can't wait to pick this up and read it. Regardless of who the author is, I would still read it.
Microsoft will not let her mess up anything in regards to Halo like she did in Star Wars.

New Halo book separate from the Forerunner books? I bought the first one of those like 2 months ago and haven't started it yet.
