We don't understand British, so a lot of the banter between the two hosts of The Gadget Show is lost on us, but thankfully this video -- which gives us a glimpse at the genesis of the gigantic Battlefield 3 simulator created by the Channel 5 program -- speaks the universal language of awesomely expensive and gigantic video game simulators.

Plus there's at least one instance of that old British past time, Spot the Silly Hat, so you'll definitely want to keep an eye out for that.

They posted the trailer, the full show only aired yesterday night :)
I actually couldn't believe when the EX SAS Guy started talking to his quad :$ felt kinda embarrassed but also stunned by how good it must have been to get him to do that?

Why do the British have to over-exaggerate all their achievements when on camera? No really, when a British tv personality tells me the sky is blue, I question whether or not they looked at it or they are willing it so.

@Edge of Blade Because during the day this country and its people are fairly drab and boring, so in the evening we need some contrast in the form of enthusiastic light entertainment TV presenters.

But damn and american (im assuming) talking about how the English are over the top. I never thought Id see that day.

Obviously it isn't perfect, but if you don't think that would be cool, you probably shouldn't be playing shooters.

98% of American TV is full of "fake enthusiasm" or over exaggeration. So ignore that guy. Whole stations tailored to bullshit you into a coma, MTV, E!, etc...

I would thoroughly enjoy this, if one of England's biggest wankers wasn't doing the demonstration.

BF3 also looks and feels pretty damn realistic with just a k&m, why need this when I can sit comfortably in my over size Canadian made leather chair and eat poutines while I play?

how do you look UP and DOWN
how are you going to pilot jets and tanks with this
how does melee register
Battlefield 3 is not the best game for this simulator becuse BF3 is a FP,L,AVS A 1st Person, Land, Air Vehical Shooter the best option that they showed atleast is Call of Duty becuse of the very limited vehical use but the game that would seem the most at home in this is SOCOM bcuz of no vehical use, highly tactical and great graphics
