Back to the Future
$25$10 (Steam)
Great Scott! Back to the Future for $10 on Steam
9
It appears our timeline has been skewed, as Steam is currently offering the first season of Back to the Future for only $10. It's not clear what caused this temporal shift, though Steam plans to correct it (i.e. the sale will end) this Thursday at 4pm specific. We assume lightning will be involved.

I really don't understand how these games work. Are they interactive cutscenes? Platformers?

@FakeJamaican Compairing this game to King's Quest is an insult. Hell, comparing this to GAMES is an insult.

They're Point-and-Click adventure games, but don't go expecting something like Monkey Island or Beneath a Steel Sky. The puzzles range from the obvious to the mildly challenging, but it's nowhere the level of difficulty a 'real' adventure game throws at you.
This is a GOOD thing.
The story is brilliant, the acting is wonderful (many of the original actors are back) and everything sound and looks great. By focussing on story rather than puzzles Telltale has perfected (in my view) the ideal of the 'Interactive Film' as many tried and failed to do in the 90's. By making the dialog interactive, and introducing puzzles that are challenging enough to make you really think but without leaving you pondering for hours (days) and breaking the flow, it really immerses you into the story.
Each episode lasts 1.5 - 4 hours, depending on how good you are at solving the puzzles, giving a total 8-12 hours of truly solid and immersive storytelling and gameplay. A pretty good deal at $10/€10!

This game is not worth $10. The puzzles have less complexity and permutations than one of those toddler shape matching puzzles, the story is shit and changes direction constantly, and the animations are stiffer and the textures are less well-made than anything else in Telltale's history. The game is pure shit.

First season? Is there supposed to be another one?

The character animation in these games sucked so hard that I couldn't even play the first title. Even in scenes where it was taken directly from the movie, they couldn't manage to spit out good animation despite the excellent reference material. Seriously...fire the animator(s).
