While the jury is still out on exactly how well Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor plays, one thing is clear: Capcom has no problem making excellent trailers for it. The latest highlights the many actions you can perform in the cockpit of a vertical tank. Our favorite: Scrabbling for a live grenade.

This game will make me buy a Kinect, provided it works.

As Shad stated, don't feel sorry for those of us that purchased the behemoth controller. I've never regretted that purchase, I was able to have the most immersive experience w/Steel Batallion and that incredible controller in front of my big screen. :)

@Tomerick: I agree with SHADO, don't feel sorry for us. I loved that game to death. Was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had, and one that you couldn't feel from video footage or trailers alone.
I don't regret it at all, in fact. I purchased multiple copies, and played on LAN with friends. Good times, good times! :D

I was always upset that I couldn't afford Steel battalion when it first came out. Right now, I'm pretty sure that game would sell waaay more with and expensive peripheral. Nowadays people are used to buy 100 dollar controllers. Look at guitar hero, rock band, street fighter with their 150 dollar arcade sticks. I hate that they're using the kinect for this.

How do you scrabble for a grenade?

I wonder how well it would allow you to reach for certain items as they all are very near each other in the cockpit. This seems like it could be very cumbersome.

Very cool, IN THEORY. In practice, I really doubt they'll pull it off. It'll either involve memorizing tons of gestures, or simply following on screen prompts. WAVE ARMS TO CLEAR WINDSCREEN. FLAIL MADLY TO THROW GRENADE BACK! DO THE DOUGIE TO RELOAD.

This will either be fantastic or absolutely horrible, and it all depends on the quality of the controls. Here's hoping.

Maybe this game will change things but up till now there is no reason to own kinect. Even if they were free, at this point, I would say no thank u, ill never use it.

I am suddenly torn. On the one hand this might be a reason for me to use the Kinect that the significant other + kids demanded.
On the other hand...... Capcom...

Kinect should include some kind of VR helmet, to completely immerse you in the game... This way you're sure what are you looking at and "grabbing", instead of making crazy movements to the screen so it understands what are you trying to do

Check out the 55 second mark. The black guy has white guy arms! Let's hope they keep this vitiligo-stricken soldier for the final release. Now that would be progressive!

Its stuff like this that really proves that Microsoft was wrong and that Sony is more and more right every day. MICROSOFT'S marketing was that you were the controller and you didn't physically need anything in your hands. SONY'S marketing emphasized the need for buttons with the PlayStation Move. Microsoft is starting to really go back on its word and its really starting to show that Microsoft had nor do they have any idea what they're even doing. That's exactly what it is, its just marketing. "If you'd like me to take a dump in a box and mark it (Microsoft Studio's) I've got spare time."
Kinect really is the piece of trash it was marketed to be. Given the voice commands for watching films is awesome, it just proves that Sony was right from the start having done the EyeToy. But, the EyeToy doesn't exist does it? Because Microsoft claims its their innovation. Microsoft, you suck and you're gonna choke with Steve Jobs gone. Kinect, its a crock of crap and I don't miss mine in the least.
