@Bruce Wayne

Troy Baker does so many videogame voices it's not funny.

This game has given an unusual amount of coverage to the voice acting side of game development. I'd like to see more of this, actually.

I agree with you, sir.

It's nice to see the acting side of a game being given the proper value and respect it needs. It is a vital part of the imersion of a game, and I'm seeing more and more developers taking more care of this part of the game's presentation.

I kinda agree, but at the same time, people will become attached to actors in games as they are in Movies, wich will diverge from the attention to the people who actually make the game, and make all the cool tech and are really passionate about it.

I like how games are becoming more imervise, I just don't want people start buying games because nolan north is in it, but because that team of people makes it, like Bungie or Irrational or Naughty Dog, that's what's unique about gaming, is a much more collaborative process than movies wich are usually a vision of a guy. Games are magic because us, as game developers love the process and love colaborating in creating a major entertainment product for everyone.

I hope I could explain myself.

@Ashkental Movies aren't the vision of one guy. It's pretty much the same as games.

I understand what you are saying, but I don't agree.

While movies become sort of "who's in it", games will never go that direction too much.

It would be similar to animated movies. Sure, there are big name actors doing the voices, but you don't go watch Shrek because it has Eddie Murphy and Mike Mayers, or Toy Story because of, hun, I don't even know who does the voices in Toy Story. You watch it if you think it's a good movie.

Good acting helps the game, but it will never be the selling point of a game.

Troy Baker is awesome; Met him at a convention and he's a pretty stand up guy. Glad to see he's doing work in the Bioshock universe.

Glad to see they Ken wants to get away from using cut scenes to tell stories. I can't stand having the controls (and immersion) ripped from me just to force me to watch some "vital" part of the story. Make the story interesting and i'll want to watch it.

Not to sound overly critical, but the voice acting in that was a little bit on the dramatic side. That is fine if you are going for that, but it felt a bit out of place in the clips they showed.
