Kirby's Return to Dreamland

I'm pleasantly surprised at the difficulty. It certainly isn't difficult by normal standards, but it beats the perpetual easy mode that some recent Kirby games have been by a good stretch, and they really did a good job adding hidden side abilities to the main copy abilities

I've actually found the 4th world boss to be extremely hard. Took me a few good tries to beat him.

Playing Batman: Arkham City still -- about 11% done although I'm partially through the story. Going to try to play Dragon Quest Swords and Ghost Squad on the Wii. Also, may try to Castlevania: SOTN on Halloween.

@Korbie maybe he loves it too much to degrade it with public displays of affection? Or maybe he doesn't want to risk even the tiniest particle of saliva accidentally its way through the package (hey, according to quantum physics it could be possible, just really unlikely) and damaging the disk?

So basically, he's got ocd, or there's alot of crazy going on in his head.

No connection problems on my end with the PS3 version, sure, once a day you lost a connection with the server, but you can go back right away. This game is just like Bad Company 2, simply amazing.

Although, I will have a BF3 break on Tuesday until...(to be determined) to play Uncharted 3.

1) Rent BF3 to see if it's worth buying.
2) See i need to spend $10 to play online..... okay.... coz i hear it's good.
3) ???????
4) EA servers are down, EA profits anyways.

I hear the $10 charge is for server maintenance... so EA said. Can we all get a $10 refund because you are clearly not spending it on the servers.

@(Unverified) look dude, I get why you're upset that the multiplayer isn't working after you paid for it, but don't complain about the basic fact that they charge for multi. They have to charge you the money. It costs money to set up and run a server, and they don't make a cent off used game sales and rentals. This means that if you rent the game, and they don't charge you for the multiplayer, you're actually costing them money, these companies do plenty of greedy stuff, but you're actually asking them to pay for you. Now, to be fair, they probably get more revenue off of these multiplayer passes than it actually costs them to run the servers, but they do that because used game sales are actually worse for the gaming industry than piracy (same effect of money not going to company, much larger scale).

@Milak I don't understand what you're telling him. In reality, it's perfectly reasonable that he should be upset with the fact that he rented the game but gave $10 to EA in order to experience multiplayer. However, he cannot access the exact item he paid money for. So in his mind, and the mind of many in a similar position, what is the point of spending $10. EA says that servers cost money, yet they seemingly cannot invest the money for infrastructure ahead of time knowing they will recoup it later. You say that he shouldn't be upset because they charged him for the multiplayer, and he never indicated he was. He indicated he was upset because he paid for something, they didn't give him that product, and they still keep the money.

Whether you want to admit it or not, EA made a huge mistake here. They knew that marketing the multiplayer so heavily would get many people interested in their product. They knew from pre-sale numbers and beta participation that there is a rough number of minimum connections that will be logging on. They knew that they have had near exact issues with previous releases of the same franchise. They knew that some folks would rent or borrow the game before deciding to purchase it. In spite of all this, they removed the old way of handling non-pass players (in which they could play for 2-3 days free) and required the purchase of a pass to access any connectivity feature whatsoever. And with all this in mind, they still delivered a hindered feature, even to those who payed for the pass. They blame this on experiencing a higher than anticipated sales figure.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, honestly, but I hope folks start to take a step back and realize that EA made a bad move. I'm not angry at them, because if the market feels it was wrong, it will punish EA. That's how business works. I deal with them on a product by product basis. I know that I won't be purchasing Battlefield 3, and not because of some boycott or other such nonsense. I don't feel that I can spend $60 on the very forgettable campaign I played, and a multiplayer I have yet to experience a full version of because all I was able to try was a problem-ridden beta that was planned for an entire year. Based on that, I can't justify spending $10 to try out a multiplayer mode I may not even like after one day or one week.

@thechaos Honestly the ONLY review I can find that said it was bad was Joystiqs..and their review was a freaking joke when you read it. All the user reviews even from excellent players gave it great scores. I personally enjoy it and think it works but sometimes the difficulty gets way too hard when you do well.

Figured I'd replay some of my Steam games while I wait for Skyrim to arrive. Titan Quest is actually better than I remember it, and I'm actually enjoying it more than I enjoyed Diablo 2.

Titan Quest is a one of the great Diablo clones. It's because of games like that I'm not impressed with the tiny gameplay elements they are touting in D3.

Titan Quest is excellent. I've sunk well over 600 hours into that game, i've got several characters who've finished the game totally. My two best are a Warfare/Fire character and a Warfare/Dream character. I've played it enough now, i'm in the D3 Beta, and i'm ready for D3 to absorb all of 2012 and 2013 lol

I finished up Persona for the PSP earlier this week and was distraught that I had gotten the bad ending. Come to find out, depending on how you answer a certain series of questions determines which ending you get. I wish I'd have known about that beforehand, but it's a little late now and I don't really want to do a second play through at the moment.

Well, with Persona out of the way, I went ahead and started up Kingdom of Paradise for the PSP. It's not bad, but the voice acting is rough at times and the game feels like it's only going to last a dozen hours if that. I'm also still playing Panzer Dragoon Saga, Chrono Trigger, and Tales of Vesperia. I'm thinking that I might be able to wrap up PDS and CT by sometime next week. If so, I think I might just start up Baten Kaitos for the Gamecube.

Rum Diary is awesome, BTW.

Confused as to what you're talking about. There's nothing in the official forums that talks about servers going down though I have heard the rumors...but nothing official. Unless you mean the crapsoles versions. Game was made for PC...64 players is amazing. I'll be having a lot of fun with my BF3 on PC. Everything works fine for me, servers, keybindings, battlelogs,origin...guess I'm lucky.
