Obsidian Entertainment is developing for a 'leading animation franchise'
24
Digital Development Management is like Gus from Breaking Bad. DDM works behind the scenes, making connections and taking advantage of opportunities while the patsies -- video game developers and publishers -- make the money. DDM represents some major studios, and it revealed some interesting information about their future projects in a recent corporate slideshow.
Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind Fallout: New Vegas and Dungeon Siege 3, is developing an "unannounced project for [a] leading animation franchise," according to DDM's presentation. It also says Need for Speed: Shift developer Slightly Mad Studios is working on an unannounced project, which could be its crowd-sourced venture, C.A.R.S. Triumph Studios, creator of the Overlord and Age of Wonders franchises, is also working on an unannounced title, DDM's presentation says.
It's not too surprising that game-development studios are creating games, but details such as Obsidian's "leading animation franchise" get us curious. So far, we're hoping for Fallout: Seth MacFarlane Armageddon.

@BigAndShiny Then it wouldn't be a Family Guy game at all.

@CharginChuck Of course, now that I think about it, this could totally be Fallout: Equestria. Holy shit, it's really happening!

I would much prefer a Futurama based game, with such quests as "Save the Popplers" "Hypnotoad Harassment", "My Honey, Their Asteroid" and "Snoo Snoo Part 2".

Meh, Obsidian doesn't make anything worth playing.

If they wanted people to play their game, they wouldn't let Obsidian no where near the title.

Meh, Obsidian got lucky with F:NV being rather good, but it still took a heafty 10+ gb of additional mods to make it even better.
Everything else they've made was ridiculously bad though...

ROFL, no they didn't. Interplay was the original developer of the Fallout franchise and with Black Isle Studios whom were part of Interplay, developed Fallout 2.
A few years after Interplay went bankrupt and shutdown, Bethesda bought the Fallout IP from them. And more then likely they began working on Skyrim shortly after releasing Fallout 3, thus were too busy and had Obsidian develop F:NV.

i actually like Obsidian. Enjoyed myself with KOTOR II, Neverwinter Nights 2 and Dungeon Siege III. I hope the new game will be RPG.

It's probably a Clone Wars games, Obsidian has worked with LA before and both Nickelodeon and Disney have in house game developers or go to companies. If not I would still lean towards a cartoon network series, for the aforementioned reasons.
