Wish DC Universe Online wasnt 18 GB, also wish you could buy the discs for super cheap.

Only thing that stopped me before from getting it was the $15 per month, nows its the 18 GB x.x

In Canada at Walmart DCUO for PS3 was going for 5 Cents !!!!

but i had it ever since March this year and i enjoyed it ... the 18 GB isn't too bad .. ( it is ALOT ) but if your not liking how it's gonna take long to download then download it while your off doing other things or sleeping. sure you may be leaving the PS3 on, But if you were home waiting for it to download you would be waiting none the less with the system left on ! also if you let some download and then stop and go back to it later it picks up where it was left off !

Well, if you have a 160GB or 320GB PS3, then it really shouldn't be a big deal. If you have one of the sub 80GB PS3s on the other hand... yeah 18GB would suck.

You could always spend $40, pick up a 500GB HDD and then never have to worry about PS3 space again. It's what I did to my 80GB PS3 - a very well spent $40.

Yeah, I guess 18GB would take a couple hours to download. After using Steam to buy all of my games, seeing 10GB + games really is the norm. So while 18GB is still on the high end, it wasn't really surprising.

This.

I really really wanted to play it being a huge DC fanboy, but I'm bandwidth capped to 60 GB/month until january, when I can change ISPs (stupid contract), and I hit the 60 gig cap every month, so I won't be able to DL DCUO at home... If it was 3-4 gigs, I could've compensated with other stuff, but 18 gigs is wayyyyy too much... Will probably have to ask a friend to download it for me and then go copy it from him using a USB drive, but by the time I can do that Skyrim will be out and I won't have time for it... Sad :(

@Faenix Even the disc makes you do the download. There's not really anything to be gained from playing the game from the disc other than needing to have it in your PS3 to play it.

@Faenix I'm downloading the game right now so I don't have to get up, overall I love the game especially helping other out. If everything turns out right I have no problem sending you my disc but I don't know if it will still need a specific code.

Wow thanks Joystiq, now I have to click a link to see what's on the PSN store, instead of reading it here...

Thanks for nothing jerks!

...

But on a serious note, my computer actually crashed when I clicked on the PS Blog source link... I don't know what that means.

The best part imo, is the 4 free Crash Bandicoot games for PSN+ members. Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk 2 were my favorite games back in the PS1 days

Tony Hawk 2 was such an awesome game, I always had to pick Spider-man :) Even the GBA TH2 was pretty cool and I was even happier when I saw Spider-man was in that one also!

I was never a big fan o TH. The game with skate that I loved was ESPN Xtreme or 1Xtreme (re released with that name). I had so much fun with that game, I still have 2 copies to this day.

Crash is just amazing.

14GB for DCUO is brutal. I have a 1MBps connection and it's going to take 8 1/2 hours to complete. It also looks like my bandwidth limit will be over this month. It's too bad they didn't create an installer like PS Home.

BloodRayne is really, really awesome.

Although it does suffer from one of the worst openings ever that is nothing like the rest of the game.

Dang, I have PS+, but already purchased Hydro on the Xbox months ago. Is this version the same game?

Are the crash games worth playing? I fear they would be such an eye sore.

Hydrophobia Prophecy is an even more updated and tweaked version of Pure, so it might be worth a play even if you've played the 360 version.

I'd try DCUO but honestly, I just don't want to tie my PS3 up for a full day just making an 18GB download. I've never been able to find a good reason as to why my PC and my Xbox360 can download files much quicker than anything my PS3 can hope to manage.

@superfrick The installer is only 125mb, so that's simple enough. Once you launch and update it, it starts the huge download from inside the installer. Fortunately, if you exit the game, it will keep what it has already downloaded. So you can download a few gb, exit and play something, and go back and download some more when you're done, etc.

It also doesn't require 28gb of free space on your hard drive to install this way, as it would if it was a PSN Store download.

I really hope they add the Crash and Spyro PS2 games, especially The Legend Of Spyro series, as I missed out on those and I am not going swimming through the hundreds of PS2 games at Gamestop.
