@Kyrx That's what I thought too, it sounds like Dead Island the MMO.

This sounds ace!
Dead island is my fave zombie shooter on xbox. I love how the zombies take damage, they lose limbs and still come for more as opposed to L4d where zombies drop like a stack of shit.
don't get me wrong, I do like l4d but I prefer the way the damage feels on dead island.
who knows, now they sold over 1m copies they can release a fully polished game :)

Dead Island was a great name (haven't actually played it though :() but Dead World sounds so bad, they really need to come up with something better

@Osmium I was thinking the same thing! "Dead World" just doesn't roll off the tongue like Dead Island! So, maybe instead of Dead World they could go with Dead Planet? I don't know...

@VideoGameConnection

Still waiting for somebody to release this title to mock the overuse of "dead" in zombie titles...

Could it be DLC? When I saw it first I thought of a theme park. Or do they have the gotten some trademark that means it would be a big budget title?

Dead Island didn't just have the resort. It had a massive town, the jungle etc.

@tryanothernametryanothername that was the thing that suprised me the most. the fact the game kept expanding into new areas. i was fully prepared to just have the resort to deal with but was suprised to find all the other places to explore.

It's not enough they drew comparisons to Borderlands, now they're copying their 'trademark for a possible sequel involving Worlds' tactic too?!

So the world gets overrun by zombies and the only force that can stop them are humans who run like gorillas?

I really enjoyed this game, I'm glad I ignored the joystiq review, but it did have too many areas where charging zombies would overwhelm. They either need to fix the mechanics to make survivability more reasonable, or give players some method of knowing when that might happen or escape it more easily.

I mean, there were times I was on the roof and I'd still get pummeled by 3-4 infected, esp. from behind.

Luckily load times were really quick, and not incredibly painful as in Demon's Souls.
