Phew! My $1750 I spent on the game won't be wasted! If only my Express-Courier gold-plated ivory helicopter and Peruvian man-servant would hurry back with it...

Why would they be wasted? Shipping was 4 days so you won't be playing it early anyway.

@Vcize

I sent my manservant in my fancy helicopter to pick it up for me. Last I heard, he was stopped st my penthouse in Japan, picking up my hand-carved rosewood Xbox, and a bottle of distilled chinchilla tears. Rich gamers get thirsty too.

That statement gives them wiggle room if they decide to ban. "Though we had no interest in banning users, they nevertheless did not abide by our request" -- or something like that. It would be stupid but, as companies have shown time and again, the stupid choice is often the most preferred.

I think the guy who bought the game for $1700 should be banned, but first set up a video camera so we can see his reaction.

EDIT: "So, we guess you can play Modern Warfare 3 – assuming you've committed the dark retail magic necessary to acquire it early that it."

Should be "...to acquire it early that is."

@Wizardsofwaverly

It wasn't a low rider, it was a 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120 Custom. Such ignorance. "Low-rider" yeah right. Please.

Also, it wasn't dark enough to miss your knitted purple turtleneck.

Players should never be banned for buying/playing a game early. Why is it our fault that someone else broke street date? It's insane to punish a gamer who is excited to play a companies game and bought it the first chance they got. Fine the stores if you want but leave us and our gamer tags/user ids alone.

Just ban the moron who paid over $1700 for a retail copy of the game...I wouldn't want to have that guy in my squad...

Lots of hate for the guy that (maybe) spent a lot of money on MW3.

So he has money to burn. Good for him. If I was a billionaire playboy I'd drop $1750 for a copy of Skyrim early.

Yes. yes, shipping, etc.

anyone who bought the game on ebay thinking they would get it early is stupid since by the time someone sends it it would be at the doorstep the days after the release.

Why oh why do people have to spend huge fortunes to get into a game early? Is your life really that boring you have to spend $2000 to make it all better? Is living in your parent's basement like a science experiment gone wrong not enough do you have to never know the touch of a beautiful woman but rather the pleasure of booting up a game long before your online friends do?

I guess that makes you King Dumbass of the century as it is only a game and only will be a game!

Oh and FYI they make pills for these kinds of problems!! GET SOME!!

If they started banning users for merely playing the game they legitimately purchased at a retailer, there would be quite a backlash. The customer is NOT at fault, the retailer is. Even the consideration is absurd.
