What a surprise, facebook games are declining in popularity, who'd a thunk it?

@ouenwoof What? No. They're bringing in more revenue so that means they're increasing in popularity.

Not necessarily. It could just mean that they're working with "advertising" companies that are even shadier than their previous lot of scam and adware/malware "advertising" partners.

@ouenwoof

Excuse me, but Facebook has some good quality games. But when you want a good, quality, game.... you don't think "Zynga". Their nickel & diming shit and inability to keep the myspace version as updated as their facebook version gave me the 1st red flag. The nickel & diming shit got worse over the years too. They sucked the life out of their f2p model in favor of greed. That's why they're still declining yearly. 3 more years and we should really see some change.

Damn.

Considering I haven't seen a Zynga post in a long time, I had hoped that they ceased to exist.

@PR0F3TA

There are multiple good reasons for people to hate Zynga. Just because you are ignorant of them and unwilling to find them out doesn't mean they don't exist. This also doesn't mean people are just big nasty, elitist gamers who are jealous of their success. Get over yourself and go do your research.

Addicting games for casuals? I wouldn't even call them that. They quite literally made a bank in adobe flash, in which the currency is your friends and the money you're supposed to be earning while playing. You're not casual if you play Zynga games, you're a rube.

Joystiq, what does this have to do with gaming at all? I didn't know you guys bothered with little worthless widgets with no entertainment value...
