Personally, we'll keep pretending that Moledina left EA to hang out with Funzio Auditore da Firenze, Ezio's cousin. He's not that great at killing people, but he will assassinate your funny bone ... with gags.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - November 07, 2011) -
Funzio, developer of action-packed AAA quality social games for mobile, Facebook, and Google+, today announced that Jamil Moledina joined as Vice President of Business Development where he will manage the company's business with platforms and partners, while serving on the executive team.
Moledina joins Funzio from EA Partners, the third party studio of Electronic Arts (EA), where he was the Director of Business Development. In this role, he sought out innovative developers, advocated them through the greenlight process and managed the business of the games he signed. While there, he created EA Partners' third party digital publishing business, signing the best creative indie game developers to crossplatform digital distribution deals. Prior to EA, he was the Executive Director of the Game Developers Conference (GDC), the largest professionals-only event in the game industry, where he managed the overall business of the event and curated the editorial content of the conference and keynotes.
"From what I've seen, the future of games is about creating fun social action games for play on any device, any platform, anywhere," said Jamil Moledina, Vice President of Business Development at Funzio. "Funzio is one of very few companies whose vision and execution are delivering on that goal, and I'm excited to join a team inventing that future."
"We are thrilled to have Jamil join the Funzio family," said Ken Chiu, CEO of Funzio. "He brings a broad range of strategic skills from the game industry, both in terms of sourcing and analyzing innovation, as well as creating successful businesses from emerging market opportunities."
