Just tried it. Seems very low res, low value. Not sure what you're seeing?

Funny, I find many massively produced games of today, low res and low value. #SWAG

Will probably get downvoted, but I would like to speak my mind on the matter of indie bundles.

I love supporting indies as much as the other guys but I am starting to get really annoyed by all the "indie bundles" and clones popping out by different teams.

This said, I will still buy it, because I love supporting independent developers but please, please, please don't milk the idea. Just because "you're indie", doesn't mean you can't drain the concept to death like big corporations do.

It used to be more of a "come on, guys! help the indies/charties out!" kind of thing, but these things start to look more and more like advertising ploys.

They are offering less and less tempting content, while, this particular one goes the way of "BUY NOW! THE PRICE IS GOING TO GO UP" which is kind of a cheap way to get buys.

You should encourage people to buy your title with quality, not lure them with an increasing price.

Long version short:
All the Indie Bundles are awesome but please don't run them to the ground.

Also I've actually stayed away 'cos they add more titles as it goes on, but what if you bought the bundle? (not really read into it, but was put off because of this) =/

Not being cheap, just being money conscious :)

@Shiz

I have bought nearly every Humble Bundle (which, I should point out, are managed by a different company than the Indie Royale Bundles) before the extra games were added, and they have always given the extra games to anyone who bought the bundle before then as well. It would be a pretty poor showing not to, especially given how much indies rely on fan love to survive. I'm not aware of any bundle company screwing early adopters by refusing them the later add-ons. Doing so would just anger early adopters and result in everyone doing what you are doing and waiting until the last minute.

the pay what you want model of another bundle results in a higher average sale price if you look at the numbers from each site, rather than the way these guys are doing it. it's creative sure, but self defeating in the end.

also, there's no charity element here, which is a big detraction.

I'm not exactly sure why you wouldn't want this sales model to be more widely adopted. Let's take a look: it gives more profits directly to the indie developers, they charge us very little, and it promotes indie games.

You can complain that they didn't donate any of it to charity, but I'm pretty sure none of the $60 people spent on Uncharted 3 went to charity. That money was probably divided up something like $20 to Naughty Dog, $15 to Sony, $10 to other various parties, and $15 to Bestbuy. And all you are supporting with that purchase there is another Uncharted sequel. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but I don't hear people shying away because they aren't giving free videogames to sick kids.

In contrast to the big dev house + big publisher + retail distribution cut, I think the Indie Royale bundle is a breath of fresh air. Sure, I like the Humble Bundle better, but I'm not really going to complain.

The reason I love Humble Bundle and I buy every one of them is because they happily support Mac, with EVERY game in the Bundle.

So it was 3.50 when this was posted, 3.75 when I bought it.... and when I went back to the homepage, it was 3.40. I want my 35 cents back! just kidding.

Are there steam keys with this one too like with most of the humble bundle stuff?

Seems to be. You get a few keys I think including one for something called Desusu? I've never heard of it but it has steam so its cool.

@Hoops As someone who has bought it, yes. There's a separate Steam key for each game in the bundle.

Desura is an Australian digital distribution platform, like steam (which the humble bundles have always had a code for too). I believe the Indie Royal bundles are actually hosted by them, or at least they have something directly to do with it (being as the charge on your card is to "Desura Pty Ltd, Melbourne, AU".

The only complaint I have here is that it is the original version of Fate of the World, not the re-release. That's pretty shitty of them on their part, IMO at least. And to the person talking bad about the bundles: Are you nuts? Anyway, I've bought every Humble and Indie royal (yes, I know this is just the second one) bundle so far, including voxatron when it was just voxatron, and will continue to do so. IMO, these are very close to the best value in gaming. And to confirm, yes, anything added later to any bundle by either company is automatically added to any prior purchase, just don't lose your link email and you're good.

Caught it for $3.16 a couple hours ago! I'm happy. I almost picked up the first bundle, but I remember hearing something about steam key issues so I skipped it. Looks like they got everything straightened out and clearly labeled as steam redeemable this time.
