Wow, Walmart's deals are half the price of these. Typical of Gamestop.

Yeah, why is this even news worth? 90% of those deals are absolute garbage. Buy 2 get 1 free? They do it all the time. $150 for Xbox 360? For $200 you can get 1 at Walmart with a Kinect and $50 gift card. $10 off old games like Bad Company 2? Waste of time.

1. You seem to think that Wal Mart will have those deals readily in stock...
2. Who wants to shop at Wal Mart on Black Friday?
3. Who wants to shop at Wal Mart period?

I love Wal-Mart. That's the number one place I shop for general merchandise, and that's always been my first stop on Black Friday.

It's you. Best Buy's are actually pretty decent. Uncharted 3 for 50% off, AC Revelations for 35. Just a couple off the top of my head.

Most of the "deals" are full price. The author of this piece sounds like Hank Hill bragging about buying a car: "sticker price, and not a dollar more"!

I agree, if I would leave home to shop for games on black friday this year, I would go to Best Buy. I'm hoping amazon will match those prices.

On Best Buy, Batman and Need for Speed the Run for $30 each, Dirt 3 for $15? Yeah
The only game missing on that list or all the lists is Dark Souls, hope amazon can do something about it.

Wait...am I missing something? The flier shows the European Zelda 3DS as the Zelda bundle.

???

Was this announced for NA?

@CaptainProtonX This may be it's announcement, lol. It was never announced as a Europe exclusive, Europe announced it and NoA didn't say anything. It's still possible that gamestop screwed up, but it seems more likely that this is legit and hopefully the other sites will have it also.

I just...want that. I want it. Specifically, I want to buy it online. For 179.99.

...Though I do wonder how long it'll be before we see a circle-pad-including redesign.

The fact that the ad for the Zelda 3DS doesn't say 'Gamestop exclusive' leads me to believe this is the version everyone is getting.

Gamestop doesn't really have to bend backwards to have the best Black Friday deals because the average consumer will shop there for games anyways.

Also, to be fair, all the other stores can get their money back on other products, so they can take a loss on games, but gamestop only do games, if they discounted too much, they'll go into the red.

Agreed. The good thing is that I'm not an "average consumer" either, I'll buy from whoever is the cheapest and most cases GS aren't. The only thing that I'm buying constantly from GS is PSN cards online, since they give you the code instantly.

Overall, not very impressive (especially the console bundles... you can find deals today). Depending on your local store, the Buy 2 Get 1 Free on all pre-owned games could be worth a look.

Previous poster said it best A) Gamestop will have the lions share of pure game shoppers and B) gamestops avg stores product levels are 3x deeper that avg retailers and 2x that of walmart. So the real advantage is once everyone else sells out of the deep discounted items in 30 minutes to an hour GS still has stock at a discounted price. Plus no matter what with their preowned depth B2G1 is a huge draw. And really they only run that about 4x a year.

@(Unverified) The only thing I've ever seen GameStop stock "deeply" on was PSP's. I've seen more actual games in a Walmart as opposed to all those "gently loved" ones GameStop likes to shove down peoples throats. People that go to GameStop for games baffle the shit outta me too...why pay $5-10 more for a game on an average day when there's usually a Walmart within walking distance?

On an "Avg" day video games at walmart and gamestop are at the same price new. And what you see on tge shelf at gamestop is not their actual stock level, 90% of thier inventory is not on display only at least 1-2 copies of a title and the rest is secured. And yes for every wal mart there is at least 2 gamestops within 5 minutes. Hmmm I wonder why, and if walmart is such a better deal and has more product what magick is gamestop using to stay in business in the back yard of such a powerful competitor. Am I saying one is better than the other, no. all I was stating was why and how gs justfies theyre ad, go shop where you want. but stop trolling at this point everyone knows gs is the big bad video game meanie...

I don't understand the "deals" this black friday, has anyone else noticed that amazon already has most of these marked for only like 2$ more. Besides a few tv deals I've seen (that still don't seem worth camping out for) I'm really not seeing anything thats worth dealing with all... That, especially after cooking all day. I'm disappointed I won't lie. If last year taught me anything though cyber monday is where the best deals will be found, and steam obviously.
