Valve offers Heavy outfit for Saints Row: The Third pre-order

To be a generic character in Team Fortress 2 nowadays is a constant humiliation, we're sure. But if you're a Heavy kinda guy -- er, rather, you like to play as the Heavy in Team Fortress 2 -- then you may wish to know about the gear that sparkly chap above is rocking.

Valve's skills of synergy have culminated in a new Saints Row-themed Heavy outfit. If one were to, say, pre-order Saints Row: The Third on Steam, then, say, their Heavy could wear a diamond-encrusted Luchador mask and wield giant, diamond-encrusted boxing gloves in Team Fortress 2. Actually, that's exactly what Valve is saying. That's the deal. That's exactly how this works.

Oh, we forgot to mention the tasteful sweater vest, too. You know, in case all of those diamonds didn't properly convey the classiness of this ensemble.

Im thinking of getting these as i have no good items for the heavy?

In the highly unlikely event I ever play TF2 again (I had an intense 8 week binge and then was done with it forever) I would play as a generic character on purpose.

It costs $400,000 to play Saint's Row 3 for 12 seconds.

Now Valve has fallen into pre-order bonuses too...
...and what's the point?! Who'se honestly not going to buy it from them!

This isn't anything new, they've done this several times in the past. I think the earliest of which was for Sam & Max, where you'd get Sam's gun (for Spy), Max's gun (for Scout/Engineer), and Max's severed head (a hat for all!).

wish valve would offer something for non-TF2 players
skyrim too had some TF2 pre-order bonus

@alzeer The beauty of VALVe's promotions is that you don't need to play TF2 to get the items. Everyone has TF2 because it's free so the items are automatically dropped onto your account.

Even if you don't play TF2 there are collector's searching for the 'Genuine' pre-order items and are even willing to pay cash or trade you Steam games for them.
