Episode 3 has been delayed to infinity. There is no point in counting the +1's or +Centillion's anymore, the game simply cannot exist.

This game is absolutely amazing! I hope they don't patch the bug where the Giants send people flying to Planet Namek. It's hilarious.

@Master Troll I truthfully didn't even realize this was a bug until someone pointed it out. I figured they just hit you that hard that flying into the air was the natural reaction. Either way, I friggin love this game.

@Teus They may have fixed the gold bug, but the item replication trick was never fixed in Oblivion, which had the same end result of basically unlimited funds. It was also possible in Fallout 3 and NV. Haven't tried to see if its possible in Skyrim, though I doubt it since it's a totally new engine.

I was cracking up the first time a Giant nailed me and I went flying - I was wondering wtf was the deal, was I gonna stop?! Damn those guys are strong! I began walking very carefully in the next reload.

Speaking of the physics...Try this one, if you can manage it:

Chase a deer / elk / etc until you come to a large hill. Once the deer starts heading down the hill, smack it with a power attack from a two handed weapon.

That sucker went flying all the way to the bottom of the hill and slid another 10 yards or so.

I really need to find me some of that frictionless gravel they use...

This game is the kind that I want to start experimenting with virtual reality with. Hopefully whatever lies ahead in the future looks back and recognizes how this one thing can be done so well.

@JakeAuditore Arkham City feels like a rushed sequel compared to Skyrim. Sorry to fan those flames, but this feels like such a huge leap compared to other games that came out this year. Except maybe Deus Ex just because Invisible War was so awful

Certain parts of Arkham City do feel rushed -- however, the game is equally incredible and lengthy. It's not quite like Skyrim though.

Huge Leap? I understand you might be enjoying yourself, but Bethesda has not grown much since Oblivion. Skyrim is still full of stiff animation and combat like other Bethesda games and now we're treated to ill-placed shoddy textures that break immersion. Granted the game looks fantastic at times. Combine all that with another patented Bethesda release in terms of bugs and crashes and I was unimpressed with Skyrim. The voice acting is often overdone too. Why do many Nords sound like the god damn Count? I could go on about other complaints too. The series just feels dated to me. That could be because the long dev cycle, but still. Other action fantasy games (that's what I consider Skyrim) have done things better on a technical and artistic/story level. That's just my opinion though. I still think Skyrim is a decent game. I just don't see why it's worthy of such praise, it's quantity over quality in my eyes. All of that is just speaking on Skyrim alone. I've yet to play Arkham City.

Well excuse me for forming some legit criticisms that would have improved the game. Hell, I criticize my favorite games because there's always room for improvement. Besides, If you look in my post history the only recent ones that could be considered negative are the ones where I bashed Bioware (admittedly my opinions there were poorly expressed on my part), my post here was just factual information with some opinions I tried to express politely. Everything else I posted recently is pretty standard stuff, all of it mostly just opinions. But I guess your point is that you only want to see people enjoying themselves which is cool, I understand that, but that's not me. If I don't like something I'm going to say so because I want it fixed. Just imagine Skyrim with melee combat where blows actually carried weight by feel and by impact, and weapons handled differently outside of weapon speed. Those things alone would make me love Skyrim rather than just thinking it's okay.

No, because people here can't handle a poster who is intelligent enough to form good criticisms (not trying to toot my own horn, there are many others as well who have made good points who were called trolls for having a minority opinion), even when I go out of my way to express them politely. I was told before that it was my tone that was wrong not my opinion, now it's clear to me that people just don't want to hear someone have an opinion they don't agree with. All I ask when I question someone's opinion like I have recently is that they defend it. After all, a statement not worth defending is not worth saying. It's not trolling, it's called string up debate. People here are seriously treating me like I've said nothing but, "this game is bad and you should feel bad", which is complete crap.

I never could get the appeal of these games...

The exploration is slow...
The fighting is boring....
The story is ok...
The graphics are pretty...

And that's about it....Reminds me of an updated eye of the beholder....

I'm right there as well. I actually own Morrowind and Oblivion and I honestly couldn't get into either game for very long at all. It just bored the hell out of me. It's like taking an MMO and removing the -MO part of it. It's a massive game, but you're in there all by yourself, and the only thing to do is keep trudging along. I basically ended up doing what I used to do in GTA before that got too boring: rob, murder, cheat, etc. until the cops caught up with me and killed me. My problem in the Elder Scrolls games is that they caught up too quick, lol.

@stiqlol 10s of millions? Right. It didnt sell THAT much sorry. It is overrated. Most deserving is more of an 8. It is an improved Oblivion for sure...but for a perfect score it would need zero bugs, and better melee combat. Magic is fun but the melee combat is just as bad as it always has been in the series..they could've improved it more than they did. Also, there are jsut as many people who find walking for long periods of time "exploring" to be boring. Honestly if I wanted to see pretty pictures I'd just go to a museum..or stream the game. I'd definitely give it a better score if the combat was more fun but it's such an important part of the game that ends up being so lackluster. For pure fun factor I have a feeling Zelda will take my GOTY, followed by BF3 and Dark Souls.

@(Unverified) I would have agreed with you, as I am not generally such a big RPG fan. For example: I really didnt like Deus Ex or RAGE, quitting after a few hours play. Boring.
Skyrim however is different. It's a truly magnificent world, very immersive. Feels like an alternate, yet genuine, Middle-Earth. I really get the feeling some amazing adventures are ahead of me. I explored the 1st dungeon & was totally absorbed.

That's because Bethesda couldn't be bothered to make it for the PC and instead just threw the console version on that platform.

If this is awarded PC game of the year over The Witcher 2 it will be a joke.

We are right. That's why modders are rushing out tools. To fix what Bethesda could not be bothered to.

The Skyrim forums are full of screenshots of the terrible textures, the crappy Minecraft quality shadows, the key bindings that completely break the game if you change them, Rock Paper Shotgun and Gamasutra have enough to write editorials about how poor the UI is and using top of the line hardware running on Ultra makes almost no difference to the quality of the visuals.

The only people who would down vote the truth are those who are on consoles and never bothered to play it on the PC. And if you are on the PC and can't acknowledge those points then you should buy it for a console, because the things that should make the PC experience better are clearly things that you don't care about.
