Microsoft cut original Xbox Live support under the premise that it was holding back development of the platform and that we'd see real changes.
Microsoft is celebrating the original Xbox with prop.
Oddgirl, bitter as she is over the first point, facetiously questions whether this prop is what was being held back - whether it is, in fact, the real change we were promised a year and a half ago.
I really shouldn't have to explain myself, just let me be bitter and move on.

@Oddgirl I'm pretty sure they meant more along the lines of making additions to xbox live like using it for television content and the like. The goal of making the xbox a full media experience will need certain hardware and infrastructure requirements that the original xbox could not offer I'm sure.

@Oddgirl If the new dashboard that i am testing is part of why they cut it well trust me it was worth it plus there was not enough people to keep it going on there anyways why spend a ton of money on servers for something that was about to die i wish it was still on myself to play some pandora tomorrow but i get over it.

The beta started last week, so I'd guess pretty soon. It's only really exciting if you have a Kinect though...or like huge f*cking ads all over your screen.

@baby sea tuna I like the new dashboard i do have a kinect but it is also very easy for the controller people to use too i use both and its an awesome update can't wait for others to see it.

I like it too, but the advertisement to conent ration on each one of the "blades" isn't so great for a paid service. I get that it applies to free memberships as well but my $50 a year should buy me a few ad-blockers.
