@gold163

Pretty much.

I'm all for DLC (as long as it's not day 1) but this is starting to get ridiculous.

"a whopping 40 weeks of additional content" -- WOW. That makes me wonder: if a developer releases a game for, say, $20, but the gameplay is extended by paid, bi-weekly DLCs over the course of the year (with some sort of season pass available in addition to purchasing the DLCs separately), would the game take off?

@FlashJS
I think we will be seeing this someday soon. Sort of like a TV season.
I like the idea. If after the first week, you think the game is a stinker, you are only out $20. If you like it, you can get the DLC ala carte.

Pay for cheats?!?!? WHAT!!

If GTA pulled this stunt everybody would be screaming raep. I feel bad for anyone who would play 3 dollars to unlock cheats in a game that supposed to be the GTA that Rockstar turned its back on.

@PR0F3TA It's not paying for cheats, it's paying for early unlocks. You see, things like infinite ammo are buyable perks/unlocks/upgrades at very high levels (+40).

@PR0F3TA Many games did this, Burnout Paradise did. Tony Hawk games did. It's getting ridiculous.

So they should not try to turn a profit? I thought that was the point of having a business. If you dont want it, dont buy it. Easy.

There is just so much random DLC in this game, not waiting for the GOTY version sounds stupid.

I wanted to buy this, but the clearly extortionate DLC has completely changed my mind. I'll get the complete pack next year. If THQ and Volition have the nerve to try and rip me off in such a transparant fashion, I have the resolve to wait. Not like there aren't a ton of other, better, games out already.

Here's a tip: Use DLC for REAL extensions of the product that make sense. Not this good will killing piddling garbage. Create a new island or gang. NEW, not stuff you clearly held back like the btards you are. People will actually want to buy real DLC, but this tactic hurts everyone. If I was a developer, I'd rather go hungry than feel I acted dishonestly. Have some bloody respect for the consumer and stop being snake oil salesmen.

I get being bothered by this, but there is so much to do in this game as it is... If it was a game that ended quickly and was not full featured I'd be complaining too. But as it stands, this is just icing. The $20 for a season pass isn't that nuts, although I'm not big on the idea that we'll apparently have to buy another pass for some of next years's updates (although I guess that's a "season")..

I think people are smart to wait for the inevitable GOTY./full version, but I think most would be pleased with this game even if they never bought the additional content.

i haven't played more than twenty minutes of previous iterations of this game, though i did like it. Saint's Row 3 just lightened my wallet for sure, this game looks bonkers.

Screw you anything that doesn't have nords in it.

Wait, aren't there cheats already in the game that give you enough respect to 'level' your character and get all those perks anyway? Or is this pack here so it gives you access right away without using the cheat and losing achievements/trophies access?

If its just to give you the cheats then why does this pack exist? It's already in the game already, my friend and I just put the cheat in to screw around yesterday.

I thought the disclaimer was funny, and the video was just wonderfully silly, but that line just killed me XD.
