Origin had it for $25 on Friday. You lost your chance.
They might put the sale back up tomorrow though.

Did Fable 3 just come to Steam? It's fairly expensive being so old. I've heard the PC version is much worse then console, is that true?
Posted: Nov 27th 2011 3:48PM xiLeShadow said
@NPTran23
Actually no. It was released in May.
Also, Fable 3 on PC is much better than the Xbox 360 version. It has a hardcore mode, among other exclusive features that the 360 version doesn't.
The game is pretty expensive though, blame Microsoft. They had it for $10 one time on their Xbox LIVE for Windows/Games for Windows marketplace though.

@xiLeShadow Fable 3 is still awful thanks to the way they handle the ending.

Dead Space 2 is 14.99 not 4.99

I just bought it for $4.99. I even double checked my Steam receipt. Maybe it was $14.99 during yesterday's sale or something, but right now, it's $4.99.
Like I said, I double checked my Steam receipt.

Well, if you double-checked, maybe it is different just in my country then.
For you:
mm hmm, it is 4.99 (in your country).

Seriously people, unless Steam is paying you, spread the love. Even GIZMODO which isn't exactly the height of Journalism, aggregates all the deals into a single post.

Every website/forum I am checking right now says Dead Space 2 is $5(also Dead Space 1) but Steam shows me Dead Space 2 at $15 and Dead Space 1 at $7.5. Can someone clear the confusion for me please? Thanks.

I just bought it for $4.99 on Steam. I logged into steam and it's on the frontpage for 75% off $19.99, which makes it $4.99. I bought it and double checked my receipt.

@E4saracTRX No, I live in India. Does region have an effect on the price? I have never seen a different price before and I always pay in US dollars and not in local currency.

That sucks. It's bizarre to me that the regular price is still $60 for you. The game came out almost a year ago.

.... Okay, I am slowly but surely starting to think that even Steam is going to get the brunt of my new 'access goddamn everything though a US VPN' policy. Fable 3 is on the system and it's apparently among the games I can't see (my kingdom for whoever manages to use legislation to nuke region-locking for digital goods off the face of the planet within my lifetime).
At this point I'm irritated enough that I don't even care if they ban me.

@Rhodanum I never saw Fallout 3 or New Vegas games on Steam, I had always believed that they are not on steam and now my friend says that they are and that only I am unable to see them because of my region. Strange :)

@(Unverified) You are in India right? I am from India and when I was vacationing there in September, I also could not find Fallout 3 nor Fallout: New Vegas in the Steam store. Then I remembered they are banned in India due to the brahmin cows in the game. : (

Dead Space 2 aside (and maybe one or two others), these sales have been a bit more sober than the winter and summer ones. I expected to go broke and didn't buy much of anything this time around.

@RickGhastly idk man, portal 2 for 10 bucks and deus ex for $25 was pretty awesome, but i could see the let down for some if they already owned alot of the games that were on sale

True, I forgot about Portal 2 because I've already got it (so there's a little bit of bias there).
It was certainly a good sale, only it wasn't the "Dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA" kind of sale that we're used to. I mean, it's not a true Steam sale unless someone ends up in the hospital.

Decent but underwhelming sales.usually steam beats the retailers but not this year for some premium titles. Perhaps their pre/after Christmas sale will be something to look forward to

Probably an appetizer for the Christmas Sale.

I picked up Section 8: Prejudice and a map pack for 4.75. I've been wanting to get into it, and for less than $5, I can't excuse myself any longer.

I wasn't too impressed with this sale, but I also made a note to avoid buying anything for myself because I have entirely too much as it is. So... *shrug*
I wasn't above gifting though, and was very glad to nab Limbo, The Witcher, Zeno Clash, and the Oddbox for my older sister for a little over ten bucks.
