Two new Nintendogs 3DS bundles roll over

Nintendo announced two more 3DS bundles for the holidays this morning. The pink 3DS pound puppy edition will include either nintendogs + cats: French Bulldog and New Friends or Toy Poodle and New Friends for $169.99, which is regularly the standalone price of the 3DS hardware.

This holiday has been a handheld bundle-palooza for the hurting House of Mario. This latest attempt to get the DS family in the hands of as many consumers as possible before the Vita shows up follows the Super Mario Land 3D Land and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS bundles for $200. There is also the non-3D blue and pink Nintendo DSi XL bundles with Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem for $170.

Nothing beats the Zelda Ocarina of Time bundle.

Honestly, I'm waiting for Nintendo to roll over. Never diss the core audience, because that's where they're gonna run to when sales drop. When it comes to Nintendo, just say NO.

OMG, I read this article too early and I totally missed the French Bulldog and friend's part.,but your response gave me a chuckle haha. Derp, whoops of course it's a French Bulldog, DOH.

This is actually good news. The Metallic Rose color is pretty nice. I have the Zelda Limited Ed 3DS now and don't see myself switching though. The Flare Red is also pretty nice, but I think when a redesign drops I may get the red version then. There's a really nice color palette early into the 3DS lifespan, which is really much nicer than either black or teal and that's it.

I know so many people that got Zelda bundles. Scoff all you want, but this junk is working big time.

I almost thought Nintendo was going to skip on the bundles for the 3DS this year.

Nintendo is trying to pitch Dogs + Cats again, given 3DS' naturally increasing popularity. It wasn't a killer app, but they're bound to get somewhere this holiday season.
