How come I never any mention of Shadowgun on here? It's pretty good. That has been one of my go to mobile games here lately. It's technically impressive too.

Kinect version too please! This could be quite good, with it's point and click-ish exploration and Fruit Ninja Kinect-ish combat movements.

I would've imagined this game to be ported for the holidays to KINECT as well. Or at least some-kind of side story.

@sgbphoto Actually that doesn't sound too bad, I'm surprised they haven't thought about that. Of course there would have to be some minor adjustments, but I can see it working, especially as a downloadable arcade game.

The lag might be a downer with Kinect, but other than that, it seems like a good match.

Of course, it would be an equally good--or maybe better--match on the Wii and for the PS Move, since it basically consists of a character holding a handled item (his weapon), and possibly a shield.

The first Infinity Blade started out as a Kinect title, but then they decided to make it for iOS instead: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/14/infinity-blade-conceived-as-a-kinect-game/

Ahhhh you are right my friend, I forgot about that. Hopefully it'll work the other way this time. And we know that Chair are XBLA friendly too.

"There's also a lot of cross promotion for the other Infinity Blade products and even some weird product placement for the Spike VGAs."

Does this mean that when you beat the God King it turns out to be Geoff Keighley?

Finally, a game that will reclaim my iPad from the time-sink scourge that is Tiny Tower!

Can your iPad handle it though? You need an iPhone 4[s] to launch and play it.

According to its website: http://infinitybladegame.com/
You can play it on iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, and iPod Touch 3rd and 4th gens.

You must be thinking of the super fancy, extra graphical bells and whistles that will only show up on the 4S. The base game will play (and still look awesome) on a bunch of older devices, though.

I finally had to delete Tiny Tower, after realizing that I was keeping it propped up on my desk so I could manage my sky scraper while I worked. All those little 30 second jobs added up to a lot of wasted time in my day.

Not true, it runs with full graphics on the iPad 2 as well. The iPad 2 has the same processor, clocked 200mhz faster than the 4S at 1ghz.

It looks amazing, btw.

I eagerly await to play this. Any word on importing stuff from the first game though?

@foxhound

No it does not import anything. That's because Apple keeps every app in it's own sandbox with no way of accessing the other apps directly, so IB II can't access your IB save.

I thought the best thing about the original was the world (or what little was hinted at after you beat the God King) but I'll be damned if I understand what people see in the gameplay. I never even unlocked the Infinity Blade (which is required to access the extra areas) because I got bored long before I got close to having enough gold.

There's something wrong when your business model is to make the game so repetitive that people would rather pay money to get to the good stuff than actually play it.

It's mindblowing to me that games like this and Dark Meadow are almost universally hailed as the standard for what portable games should be. It's like back in the Sega CD days when FMV games were going to be the future.

I don't know, I never got good enough at Infinity Blade to reach the "terribly repetitive" portion of the game.

For a $6-$7 (I forget what I paid but it was cheap), it was well worth every dollar so far, if I somehow manage to get bored of Skyrim or the other stack of games in my eternally growing backlog.

you are completely right though, it seems like a broken business model for the people who have succeeded in mastering the first game and similar titles.
