Saints Row: The Third site adds interactive stats and leaderboards

SaintsRow.com has added a whole slew of new metagame features for chaos simulator Saints Row: The Third, available now by logging in to the website.

In addition to standard stats like playtime and the number and type of kills, you can also check out leaderboards on various categories to see how you rate either among your friends or around the world. There's also an interactive map of the city, which will routinely add in player achievements, screenshots, and even custom hints from other players in the game, all displayed right on the spot where it happened.

All of the updates are free to use, but of course you've got to create a THQ account and sign in to it with the game itself. And Volition is promising even more features in the future -- trust us, no purple dildos will hit a single head in Steelport without you knowing about it by the time they're done.

I am so disappointed with the story in this game. The game play is great, I love the new weapons, but they need to fire the writers! Why did they take Shaundi, a lovable stoner, and turn her into a hardcore bitch? Did they not want to pay Mr. Kim, so they killed Gat in the beginning? SR2 had 4 great stories, but this is one big mess! I will NOT be pre-ordering SR4!

Oh yea... everybody loves zombies right? I can see the story meetings. "We need to fill some time... How about we throw in some zombies? Everyone likes zombies!"

That's kind of what they were going for though. Did you not realize that they threw in everything but the kitchen sink?

I'm disappointed in the fact that I can't call any of my homies for help and I can't recruit anyone. That option just doesn't exist on my copy.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Calling homies and recruiting is still in SRTT. Are you saying you have a bug that is preventing this on your copy?

@RobHoliday Plenty of people disagree with you. The writing is the best it has ever been and I have enjoyed this game way more than its typical "Oh snap son I'm a gangsta!" story.

yeah I'm playing it on OnLive. whenever I call one of them it's always busy or they can't make it. plus there is no option in the bonus section for recruiting homies.

a lot of people are reporting this between PC, PS3 and 360. it's definitely a bug

Try standing in the street when you call them. If you want to call more than one, call the first one, wait for them to show, then call the next, etc.

It just doesn't work. either it's busy or they say they can't make it.

I've tried in a mission, outside of a mission, indoors, outdoors, while fighting a gang. nothing

One time oleg helped but I didn't even call him.

I was kinda waiting for this. There's something wonderful about being able to post a screenshot of the ridiculous shit in this game and have everyone be able to see it, and go "yeah, I saw something like that too." 17 hours in, 52% completion, still boat loads of fun just street surfing on people.

Also, Chaos Simulator. I like it. (I finally got the VTOL last night...)

Wow, this Map looks STRIKINGLY familiar to Liberty City, is Steel Port also supposed to be New York or something?

Hit 900 points in this game last night and I will actively be trying to get the full 1000. This game is so fun that getting the full 1000 will be a blast.

All are fun except completing all the challenges. 10 minutes of car surfing is too long

Is it just me or did they pretty much copy the map layout from GTA IV?

By your comment I can so tell you haven't played SR3. It's an open world crime game and that's were the similarities stop. GTA is more sim and SR3 is more... is bat-shiz-crazy a genre?

I thought the site has done this since launch? I know me and my friend have been using the site to its full advantage since day one.

Are they planning on making their website more accessible to mobiles and computers in general? Even with the latest browser updates etc. their website is a nightmarish chore to navigate. So much so that I don't bother to visit it anymore. The game was fun (while it lasted) but I sure hope they keep their word about a constant flow of DLC and hopefully better DLC than the lame stuff I'm seeing so far.

More than half this game is there just to make fun of other things and games, if you hated it it's because they DID copy it just to poke fun and whatnot. I think it's hilarious and it has the cool overtone bulletstorm should've had without overdoing it.

I needed a break from Skyrim and this worked wonders. I'm loving the camera phone, I've uploaded a ton of pictures to the site. And to the person looking to call homies, this might be a dumb question but you unlocked the ability to do so right? I'm certainly not having that problem, although I did have to restart 2 missions in co op cause of bugs/ai glitches

Last I checked I was at about level 18 and there is no ability to call homies in the bonus section. it's not that it's locked, It's just not there.

it's a bug because lots of people are having the same problem.
