Hey, did you know that Infinity Blade 2 launched on the iOS App Store yesterday? If you didn't, hey, we hear it's pretty good, but if you did and you bought it, you may already be aware of some "issues" the game encounters when played on an iPad 1 or various iPad Touch devices, such as unbearably choppy framerates and outright crashing. Its publisher, Epic Games, is also aware of said issues, and wants you to know that it's working extra hard to get things fixed "ASAP."
VP and co-founder Mark Rein took to the company's forums after initially tweeting out news of the hitches, where he explained that some users on the aforementioned devices are running out of system memory. Apparently the issues weren't discovered in testing because the device must have a "large number of apps installed," which test units weren't equipped with. Regardless, Rein said the company should have a fix coming quickly, so, uh, maybe play some more Infinity Blade 1 for a few days?

It runs perfectly on my 4S, but I'm haven't even bothered trying it out yet on my first-gen iPad. No point, since the graphics are better with the A5.

That's great and all but do they have a way to get rid of the constant tool tips? I know how to block and dodge already, thanks.

Except Epic jumped in to a forum (and Mark Rein at that, not just a PR intern) to explain the issue. They also apologized for the problems on Twitter.
Bethesda on the other hand wouldn't respond to bug problems unless someone breaks their arm.

@arkweld thats great but it doesnt excuse the fact that the game was released without being tested on an ipad 1.......i mean how is that over looked? its like how batman was just released for PC with DX11 completely broken. How is it possible for these developers to not turn a game on and play for 5 minutes? Who gives a shit if they go on and apologize?

Im running it on I-Phone 4 besides a few hick ups its runs seamlessly, especially when its low on battery is the worst.

@YouAintFatYouAintNotin Hichups are right. It slows down, stutters...load issues now and again that make me have to close out and relaunch. Just happy to play it on my iPad 2. It runs perfectly on that. But it should work just as well with slightly diminished graphics on the iPhone 4 with A4 chip.

No just iPod touch's, I have an iPhone 4 and it takes 57 seconds (I timed it) to load initially and then it stutters throughout gameplay. Extremely disappointed they let the game get released like this.

First game had awful load times too. I can't believe they would think this was acceptable for a mobile game, I don't care how good it looks Epic should have thrown whatever tech wizardly they have to get the load times down to 15 seconds.

Anyone actually know the story yet? I mean, I know you're a descendant whom goes and gets killed. But then they released a pack with the basement showing where the god blade came from. I think another pack released after that but I didn't play it.

Try dual sword wielding, its pretty nice. I am enjoying the new additions to the rpg elements, the voice acting, and it runs like butter on my iPhone 4. I remember the first game would crash quite often, not so much here.
