Portal 2 is still sixty bucks for PS3?? I remember seeing it super cheap on Steam, like $15 or $20.

Anyway, really good list. I'll probably buy Trails in the Sky if I don't receive it from anyone this giftmas!

It's $40 at Gamestop. The price listed above isn't from Amazon but a seller.

@Naru now in 3D - Yeah, amazon is way overpriced on Portal 2. I'm thinking they raised the price to coincide w/ that B1G1 50% sale going on. Amazon is notorious for that. Once that sale is over, they'll drop it back down to $40 meethinks

Most of those games were half off MSRP last week. Uncharted 3 was $30 around Black Friday, and Resistance 3 was $20 twice on Amazon.

to be fair, you can't really compare the steam prices of games to the price for console versions. steam prices can't be beaten when items are on sale.

MSRP for Portal 2 PS3 is $40 now, but it's much cheaper used. Got mine for about $13 on Gamefly. The age when Amazon had the best prices on the internet are long gone, and a smart shopper can always do better.

I support this message. Also, Disgaea 4 is only 50 bucks if you buy the regular version, the $60 price tag is for the collector's edition.

Am I the only person that thought Resistance 3 was kind of "meh"?

I think it was meh also. It should not have been called Resistance 3 it's not a true sequel. Nothing really happened in the game and the story was throw away. The game played really nicely and graphically it was amazing but it didn't feel like Resistance.

The PS3 version of Skyrim is nearly guaranteed to become unplayable, and absolutely should not be recommended under any circumstance.

Well I've got 60 hours and haven't had but one quest glitch in the magic college (winterhold?) in my experience it's not as messy as the internets make it out to be.

Don't attempt getting all trophies in one go, a purely stealth/non-lethal build on hardest setting might turn you off the game robbing you of a great world and characters.

Absolutely, LA Noire deserves a nod. Sure, the first half exceeded the second in quality (gameplay lost its way), but it was such a hydrating, unique experience. I won't forget it.

Also: God of War Origins Collection and Dead Space 2.

Child of Eden was the most disappointing game of the year to me. I tried to like it but the gameplay did little to elevate it beyond standard on-rails shooters, IMO.

i haven't played Skyrim myself (been too busy studying for finals lately) but i've watched my brother play the PS3 version quite a bit and i find it hard to believe that reviewers didn't give the PS3 version demerits for how unstable it is. so far, i've seen lots of slow-down, some freezing, an infinite loading screen, and a corrupt save file, and those are just the things that i've seen myself while watching my brother play....but, having said that, when it's working correctly it's an amazing game, of course, like all Elder Scrolls games. can't wait to dive into it myself, though i think i'm going to get the 360 version :D

Ya I find it hard to believe that no reviewers ended up with any of these problems on their own PS3 versions of Skyrim.

I hate giving tips to potential eBay profiteering douchebags, but: I just came from Target where the huge Uncharted 3 Collector's Edition was in the clearance bin for $49.99. May be worth a look for some of you out there. Target's clearance deals tend to be fairly consistent.
