Yeah, I'll pass. I tried the first Nexuiz, it was basically Unreal Torunament but worse. The maps were bad, the movement wasn't refined, and none of the weapons were remotely near what anyone was used to except the sniper and machine gun, everything is was freaking wierd.

@Jetleo1

Why not give it a try? Considering it's a PSN/XBLA game it should have a Trial.

@Dubiousity Like I said, I played the original, I don't really need a trial. Unless they basically redid EVERYTHING, I still won't like it. I mean come on, Quake 3 fight speed and a grenade launcher that doesn't explode on direct hits? It doesn't work out >.

@Jetleo1 Everything you're saying may be true, but it still doesn't change the fact that trying it out will be less than thirty minutes of your life wasted should you not enjoy it. To so passionately dislike something, it's clear you at least wished to have enjoyed it in the first place. Then again, I prefer the neutral over negative approach to video games prerelease.

I can't count how many times where I enjoyed the originals, and disliked the sequels. Or else hated the originals and loved the sequels. I'd say about the only medium I refuse to play the trying game with is books, because that's too much of an investment. At least with games, with the near-guarantee of a bite-size demo, trying something out is a first priority anymore.

@Jetleo1 Actually, they are redoing literally everything! Apparently the only thing in common is the arena gameplay and the name... which has some fans of the original miffed.

@Once known as Shadsy Well that's good. Might have to try it then if they've made it better...

@Oddgirl You make a good point, but 155kbps internet means I can't just hop around trying demo after demo to see what I like. I won't spend 3-4 hours waiting on a download when I could have been using the internet for other things. I'll check YouTube for it though and see if it looks good, and then maybe I'll get the demo.

this is off topic, but does anyone know what happened to that cover based shooter from 5th Cell (the developers of Scribblenauts)? i think it was called Hybrid, or something like that...

Capcom? I'll wait for the re-release. They've taught me well.

I'm curious as to what kind of changes they will have made to make this fun on a console.
