"If you're interested in a new outlet for games writing (in addition to Joystiq; never stop reading Joystiq)"

ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD---er, Joystiq.
And yeah, I think I can spare a bit for the Kickstarter & 99ยข issue.

So you want us to fund a premium magazine app for tablets? Pay so we can pay more, hmm.

@Jameseh There's no "pay more" part of this equation. You just pay a little startup money, and get the first issue (or first year) free.

If you already own a tablet, and are interested in this kind of content, it's a good deal, and helps a small business get it's feet off the ground. That's what Kickstarter is supposed to be about.

Nobody is forcing you to do anything either. If you're not interested, then don't bother. I do happen to be interested, so I'll consider the proposition.

So you know what? You keep your dollar, and you stick it in a shoebox, and watch your life fill up with regret on what you could have done with it. Eventually you'll be a sour old scrooge, who never had an ounce of fun in his life, and never felt good at helping others achieve success. All because you held on to that one, measly dollar.

Lol, they want money from me to start a magazine? Never. Maybe if it were an actual game or product and not something heading out on a dead medium.

@Anticrawl Did you even read the title, let alone the summary? It's a digital magazine. For iPad/Android tablets. It's not static issue-by-issue either, but updates regularly with new content.

It's an app that you can download, and not on a "dead medium" at all.

I did, it was just so uninteresting I overlooked the detail that it was a digital service. Even then I'm less interested. I wouldn't want to pay for a magazine I can't hold.

I don't see the point. If I pay $.99 I might read a review that saves me from buying an app that is...$.99. This topic is covered on every gaming sight, and I never pay attention to mobile reviews anyway. They are different kind of game--a low cost temporary diversion. I would (and do) pay for extended reviews of console games and games for DS or PSP that will cost me $30-$60 and entail a greater investment of time..
