I really love this game. I just wish more people played it online. I can never join anything besides TDM. And playing split-screen online gets really laggy. Is that normal?

@King Johngie the Fourth

I only played the first game. I skipped the second because I was told that I would be disappointed. How does the third one compare to the first? Campaign and multiplayer.

They don't compare. Seriously. #3 can stand high and mighty among the top console FPSs all by itself (for me at least).

Pretty much what Liquidsoap said. I thought the first one was alright. I played the second for about a half hour and never touched it again. I went into Resistance 3 with a bias against it. All my expectations were totally shattered.

SP for 3rd game is much, much better than the 2nd, which I hated passionately.

So, instead of offering relevant facts, such as price - we get a nonsense paragraph on "metal".

Keep up the great reporting!

@Axcalibur There's a billion other sites that offer pure game 'reporting'. I come to Joystiq for the lulz as much as the news. And that nonsense paragraph made me laugh out loud like the immature little man that I am.

@Hyams

I visit Joystiq multiple times daily because of the speed these boys put news articles together - I just rarely find their humour... humorous - it's generally feels forced.

I usually supplement the information I get from Joystiq with Kotaku. Then I visit IGN for reviews - because they have the best format for reviews (giving a score for individual components is far better than a 5 star rating system). Kotaku had the best rating system, but they got rid of the good/bad section - so now their reviews suck.

I tried 1up - but that site is just awful... so cluttered and unappealing... very amateurish.

So, I would love to know where you and other Joystiq'rs go for additional gaming info - what sites are your favourite gaming news websites?

Hyams - which of the "billions" of news sites should I check out?

@Axcalibur I get my news from the neogaf forums. It's typically on there a good 2-3 days ahead of Joystiq. =D

Giant Bomb and GameSpot for previews; Giant Bomb for reviews and articles; and Joystiq for news.

And where do you prefer to read your reviews?

Or are you one of those idiots who are quick to criticize but too stupid to contribute?

IGN's reviewers are not gamers, nor unbiased journalists. They've knocked 5 points off games just for being "too hard" and they've never played all the way to the end of any game they've reviewed

i bet it's $9.99. i really hope there will be xmas sale on psn soon. There are quite a few things i have my eyes on, but kept on hold hoping for a bundle release or price drop. they should emulate steam, the grand daddy of DD

The multiplayer was boring, I beat the single player (which was good) and then traded it in. I doubt this dlc will sell well.

So very true. Odd that they didn't re-use that tech in the sequels, it was actually pretty cool.

Nobody plays online because it's a direct rip-off of CoD. I don't play Resistance to play CoD. They should have stuck with R2's or R1's online, those were fun and different.

All of the Resistance games have been, "eh, get 'em laters" for me, though I've never gotten around to them. I think I'll finally pick this one up 'round February or so, after I've gotten Skyrim out of my system.
