As someone with access to both iOS and Android devices, I must ask: Is there something inherently wrong with requesting or hoping for an Android port?

@PR0F3TA

I'm an iPhone user switching to the Galaxy Nexus. The number one thing I already know I'll miss is the long list of games not available on Android Market (or the other Android stores).

When oh when will Android get cool games like Infinity Blade and Sword and Sorcery?

There are a bunch of fun games missing, but you will get the majority of them (or an equally good knock off) in three or four months. I recommend keeping the iPhone around for the games.

@NaeemTHM Infinity Blade will never go to Android. IB2 was used to show off iOS 5. Apple already has them in the bag!

"I recommend keeping the iPhone around for the games. "

Well my wife has an iPad, so when we go on trips I'll just steal it and use that. I plan on selling my iPhone to fund the Nexus purchase.

@darkinchworm

There are many reasons as to why you do not see the same content on Android devices. Device SKU's, development limitations and many other things come into factor for Android development.

Last year Android development allowed for a 20MB max memory that could be used for applications, to put that in perspective that is 20MB's less than the launch iOS devices [1st Gen] could use. Although this has been improved through firmware updates, there is a reason that many developers do not pursue Android yet. The better the firmware gets, the sooner you will see major titles cross over.

That isn't exactly why I was asking or what I was asking about, but assuming that's all true and valid, it's very interesting information and I appreciate the thoughtful response.

@Mr Esc is the namesarcasm is my

"I have to ask, how bigger is the iOS base compared to android?"

There are more Android smartphone users. But I believe when you include iPod's and iPad's; iOS has a larger userbase.

"It seems every apple device is the hip new toy but Android devices such as the Sony tablet are simply better for the exception content being."

I think only (and this is in no way meant to offend you) Apple haters think like that. Apple consistently manages to release mobile products that are easy to use and mostly issue free.

Android is amazing and I can't wait to get the Galaxy Nexus, but most OEM's seem obsessed with making bleeding edge products that are seemingly abandoned a week later for their next Android product.

While Apple products might not be on par hardware wise with Android phones, at least you know you're device will be supported for more than a month. As a matter of fact, at this point I can't see any reason to get an Android device that isn't a Nexus. Zero bloatware and guaranteed support from Google.

@PR0F3TA What's so bad about us Android users asking for a port? What about the PS3 gamers that ask for 360 exclusive ports and vice versa and so on and so forth?

@SpiderPrime Yeah, the Terminator is the guy that could break Batman before that roidfreak Bane ever got on the scene.

Ah to be back in the day when Batman could actually lose a fight because he was a high level pulp fiction detective and hadn't mutated into the greatest at everything GD BATMAN that can beat anyone.

I blame Frank Miller. Seemed like such a cool idea for him to beat down Superman with the great line of having a lot of money AND time regarding getting some Kryptonite and a lead lined Batcave...of course Superman has NEVER faced a super smart guy with lots of money, time, and insane fixation on beating him....no not in the decades he's existed (even in DKR set in the future) has he EVER faced that....

The font/menu in the article picture reminded me of DEAD SPACE(iOS)... though I don't remember the price being so high for that. I'll hold off on this one.

They are milking the game for sure, but unlike some other games, the basic Batman:AC experience is good enough without all the DLC extras. Just buy the game when its on sale and you won't feel as bad.
