Dead or Alive 5 screens aren't afraid to bust a gut or two

There's nothing quite like watching a teenage girl gut punch a hardcore-looking ninja lady. And Team Ninja clearly knows that, showcasing as much in the latest volley of screens from Dead or Alive 5.

Easily my favorite fighting game series. Like a fool I traded in DoA 4 and had to acour the Earth trying to find it again.

I hope this version will have better online play. Both DOA4 and DOA Dimensions are so laggy that online is worthless.

@Vic Fontaine I need to figure out what you guys are doing because it's only ever been DOA games specifically that I've had issues in. The frame rate just barely chugs along, and since it's a timing-based game, it makes it really hard to play. I never had issues in any other fighters.

I like the tweaked character designs a lot so far. DOA2 looked great on the Dreamcast, but after that, I couldn't help but notice that all the female characters seemed to have more or less the same porcelain doll face, that barely got more detailed even in DOA4. DOA4 in general, being a first gen Xbox 360 game, had pretty underwhelming visuals. This game looks great so far though.

but what it DID have was an unlockable Spartan, which was awesome.

Really excited for this game. Dimensions was a lot of fun.

Can't wait for the PS3 version! Loved DOA2:Hardcore for the PS2 back in the day. Me and my buddy will be beating the crap out of each other when this comes out!

Finally, girls! DOA is all about the girls, but somehow Tecmo gave us a teaser with only sausage before. Bad move.

@Cafecito
They probably wanted to debut it as a serious fighter, but the jiggle factor in DoA has always been a gimic to the series so it's understandable why they wanted to avoid it.
