everyone wants a piece of that cute marketable iOS game pie. They have Angry Birds winter hats, and they look cool, give me a slice!

That is mostly fair... But least one of those was a Wii-ware game, and one more is based on a fairly well known indie game.
And, let's be honest, while Reckless Getaway sounds frighteningly generic, does it sound it would be more or less appealing to the demographic of the site than a game called 'FlickPig'.

I had to kill the pig. It was a GM Vietnamese potbellied pig that some freak had meatfitted with a voicebox and the frontal lobe of a grown-up crack baby. It scuttled across the carpet on fat little legs, firing hideous acidic turds out of its fortified arse like it was Satan’s vending machine. The pig turned, rasping “Flick Pig! Flick Pig! Flick Pig!” I’d not yet worked out whether he was talking to me or telling me his name, but it seemed to be the only word he knew.

Reminds me of that other iOS game about pigs and flicking animals. What was it called again?

@stiqlol

Tetris. Yeah - I think that most phone can hack it.
I imagine that most will deal with Toki Tori and Talking Tom Cat 2 too. >_<

Besides, the higher end Androids sell quite well enough that games like Reckless Getaway are sure to appeal to a fair number of readers.

It should just be like Windows games and applications - release a list of system requirements. If the game requires, say, an 800 MHz processor, it's your own bloody fault if you buy it for one which is slower than that. Most people know the basic specs of their phone, such as core count, speed and RAM. And if you don't, a quick trip to the internet will solve that.
