Mega Man is still near and dear to Capcom and official announcements will come "in due course," senior vice president of strategic planning and business development Christian Svensson told GameInformer. Some "top men" (as opposed to "bottom men," "middlemen," and "top but not as top as men women") at Capcom are considering Mega Man's future as we speak, and it remains a key brand for the company, Svensson said.
Svensson recognizes that some fans are "disenfranchised" with Capcom over the Mega Man cancellations, and he asks for patience, as there is no quick cure for those wounds. Capcom is working on its relationship with western markets, establishing Fright Clubs for Resident Evil and Dead Rising games in North America, and the original Fight Clubs rolling out in Europe over the next few months. Capcom is also relaunching its Capcom-Unity site for fans to engage directly with employees and developers.
Capcom is working with western studios such as Capcom Vancouver on its current projects, which includes a new IP, Svensson said.

So, they have top men working on how to further rape consumers with music packs and color pallet dlc? Did I get that right?

Its either that, or most of their fans jumped ship after the whole "Pay for this demo on an upcoming portable system, and we'll *consider* making this game" BS.
I swear this sh!t was a mean hoax from the start..

Agreed, Capcom essentially lost all their good faith on press release cred with the whole MML3 thing. Especially since they didn't even bother releasing the nearly finished paid demo that they touted would "determine the fate" of the actual game.

Could you send that memo to Square-Enix? I think its a brilliant idea, but those guys can't seem to grasp this concept either.

Capcom just doesn't know how to deal with the fans. That's probably the best thing you can say.
They could've just said: "Megaman Legends 3 is postponed" rather than outright cancelled. Look how long people waited for Starcraft Ghost.

If they base it on the work done by The Protomen, I'm okay with it.
Not that they would. Because Capcom sucks at Megaman.

I'm not sayin I wasn't disappointed by all the megsman cancellings because I was and I love the blue bomber, but it might be for the best to give him a rest for a couple years. Capcom milked him dry and most of the recent games haven't been as great as what they were and They haven't really given him a chance to recoup. They should pull back and take the time to make a great game not a quickly done rehash like they do for most of the other games they release.

GRIN is still guilty of Bionic Commando, and no amount of remakes of the first game is going to change that.

You know what ain't a Key Brand?
Dino Crisis, and it makes me sad to say that.
Who here doesn't love dinosaurs? Capcom is missing all kinds of cash not bringing dinos back to the masses.

If Megaman is such a key brand, then why cancel such a major announcement as MML3? A game Inafune has been waiting 10 years to make, and Legends fans have waited 10 years to play?
All I can think of Capcom doing now is thinking of new ways to milk Megaman. Maybe $2 DLC for each Robot Master/Maverick/etc in the next game...
With the way they've been doing business lately, the only thing I really want from Capcom is a localization of Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations 2.

Sorry capcom. You need to realize that how you treated Infune will be remembered by Mega Man fans and we are generally annoyed with how you think releasing 10 versions of SF4 and crappy HD ' ports' is better than supporting a mega man sequel fans asked for. Your profits are only so important and you've clearly crossed the line with milking your fans. screw you capcom.

If it's so important, then where the hell is Megaman Legends 3?! At the very least do a HD remake of the first 2 with better controls, see how well that sells, and THEN decide you feel nobody cares anymore and you're going to go silent on news of the franchise!

If Capcom really though Mega Man was a key brand, they wouldn't kill self-admitted fan favorite sequels. What better way to take a huge dump on fans than cancelling a series revival? Let's just make Dead Rising 2: 3 and Street Fighter Who Gives A Shit Tournament Extreme Edition to wring just a little bit more from fans who haven't yet been disillusioned.
