I had a blast playing this game, especially the multiplayer. This was the first playstation network game I played back then on the ps2. Good times typing on a keyboard to talk on a console.

Wow, so nostalgic. I still remember the, "So here I am, doing everything can, pretending I'm a superman..." song that played on that game.

Man, now that I think about it, I don't even think I ever owned it. I had a demo that Taco Bell gave out at the time. Still so much fun lol.

@INTRO

That's "Superman," by Goldfinger, if you're interested.

goldfinger is a terrible pop band. i think it's better if no one goes further into that band.

Really nice to see the original first level recreated, one of the most revolutionary games ever made.

Arcade (downloadable) release right? $10 will make it a easy buy, any higher will take come convincing from the demo mode.

Hopefully its a PSN/XBLA game. Might be worth another go around. I would say no to full retail though not paying £40 for a 10 year old game with HD graphics.

Finally, a Tony Hawk game I would play. Or have played. Or both. Whatever. Looking forward to it. Hopefully some of the original soundtracks come along for the ride as well.

So after all of the disappointing peripheral-based games, they've decided to remake the first game. I'm okay with this.

If they go in and "modernize" the controls, mechanics, etc. they better give an option allow you to play it old school (but with pretty graphics), too.

Jerry... Not Jeremy.

Oh, and I still listen to The Ernies' song "Here and Now" from this game! Classic.
THPS 1 & 2 helped redefine game soundtracks.

Awesome. Can't wait. I still have my original Xbox hooked up so that I can play the warehouse level on THPS2X. I'll probably play this even more if it's an XBLA title and I can just launch it at any time while I'm playing other 360 games.

I know all the Pro Skater games are SOMEWHAT similar but it would have been nice to see an HD collection instead, or perhaps find a middle ground to combine all four into one game. At least they finally worked out what people want from Tony Hawk games. Now if only they could make a NEW Pro Skater game that is as good as the originals.

I'm all for them doing the old games, back when they were still good, in HD. But we can just go ahead and skip the first game and just do an HD remake of THPS 2 &3 and put them on 1 disk. Please.

As much of a distaste for Activision that I have, as long as they keep this cheap I am definitely getting it just for nostalgia! Plus it looks like they put a lot of effort into upping the graphics compared to most "HD" revamps.

One thing, they better have online-multiplayer free skate just to chill with friends and also have plans to do a THPS 3/4 HD as well.
