Didn't get a chance to watch the Spike Video Game Awards on Saturday night? Maybe you don't have cable, or your appetite for awkward television programming is limited; regardless, we want to help you help yourself and we're going to do that the only way we know how. A video game blog post.

Games I'm looking forward to from this list;

Hitman: Absolution - Looks very good. Only thing I'm hating on from this game is the "see through walls and predict enemy movement" feature. Makes the game way to easy IMO. Hopefully it can be removed in harder levels..

The Last of Us - Of course Naughty Dog is a good developer, not a huge super duper OMG fan, but they are good. Hopefully the game isn't very cinematic like Uncharted and makes you feel like actual human being trying to survive. Let's Hope.

Command & Conquer: Generals 2 - PC Exclusive, Can be the Return of the Command and Conquer Series, A Generals game, and Frostbite 2. Very much looking forward to this game.

Mass Effect 3 - The Mass Effect games are good games. Very good "linear" third-person shooter. Although I wish it would have more good RPG elements, it still a good game nonetheless.

Diablo 3 - Not liking the Online-required thing but it's a Blizzard game and I love Diablo. Although I'm not expecting myself to love/like this game more than the previous Diablo games.

Fortnite - Looks interesting. Need more details.

BioShock Infinite - Bioshock! Looks pretty original, story and setting based. =)

Games That Can Catch My Attention but I doubt it will;

Rainbow 6: Patriots - Use to be a huge Rainbow Six fan. Still play Raven Shield, Rouge Spear, and Rainbow One. But as you can tell, I use to be a huge fan of the series when it was very tactical-based and was trying to simulate a real counter-terrorist experience.

The new games (the Vegas series), while good I guess, never left me with the amazing feeling the previous PC Rainbow Six games had. It was way too action based and it felt like a "wanna-be" movie. Rainbow Six: Patriots just kills all hope for a return to the Rainbow Six roots. For Shame, but Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon both died off, so I was expecting it.

@xiLeShadow Hitman 's detective mode is optional to use as well, you know, lol. No doubt it gets disabled on higher difficulties, but yeah, you don't have to use it.

From what I've heard, BioWare is adding a ton of RPG features to Mass Effect 3, while keeping the shooting good from 2. Here's hoping.

Also, while the individual missions might be linear, I wouldn't call it a linear game at all. Some like MW3, now that's linear.

@xiLeShadow Game Informer had an amazing article/preview about the game in their December issue that made it sound like it's very tactical. There seem to be many ways each individual scenario can go, depending on the course of action you choose to take.

It isn't my kind of game AT ALL, but it sounds pretty slick if it is.

If you are talking about Rainbow Six, then No. It doesn't sound like the classic Rainbow Six games.

Who else was underwhelmed by the Darksiders 2 trailer?
Oh, and way to ruin the new game smell with the turd in the box called Spider-Man.

I hope you read Justin and Griffin's live blog, it was hysterical. Everything they said about the Dr. Pepper commercials had me rolling.

My, how fuken fantastic must this generation of games be when something like MGR "looks like garbage". Really can't wait for whatever this nuclear fanboy butthurt that is going around to subside and people actually start seeing this game for what it is, and not for what it isn't. And this is coming from a fan that's been playing Metal Gear games for 20+ years.

And also, what was up with Spidey fighting a Reaper? :D

It's not like they canceled much though. Last I checked it is still an action game with the tactical slicing intact. I just see alot of complaining how there's no stealth, there's no way to put enemies to sleep with tranq guns, Remind me again, is this what fans really wanted from a Raiden game or that scene where he takes out 4 mechs with his foot-sword in MGS4?

So he's able to throw Rays around, this seems more of an evolution of his abilities than anything.The only thing I can understand of people's complaints is possibly the story change, which we haven't seen that much of, so that pretty much negates that.

I think it's cliched to say it, but I do think this may be one time where fans are actually afraid of a change. Even calling this game the death of a series, which is pretty ridiculous.

Well, I'm not really a fan of the series. Couldn't really dig the shark-jumping Spanish soap-operaness that the series devolved into after the first MG:S. I just think it looks dumb.

Ah, fair enough. I just thought your comment on there being a reason why they cancelled it in the first place meant you thought the ones before were good games, but I can see that you never were a fan of any to begin with.

people who complain about hitmans new technique must not realize that in all previous games you could open your map and see where each and every enemy was and which way they were facing and walking, so quit complaining now.

Almost was interested in Darksiders II, but that just treads the same ground as the first game doesnt it? Meh.

I don't remember seeing that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 or Hitman trailer... o.O

Last of Us is confirmed by NYTimes to be in 3rd person! NICE! i dont need another left4dead/dead island right now, but i dont want a post apocalyptic uncharted either!

Games I'm interested in:
The Last of Us: Looks like a survival horror game, hopefully plays like one. And characters from Naughty Dog I can actually care about.
TTT2: It's Tekken. 'Nuff said
Mass Effect 3: More RPG elements, more Tali'Zorah and I will be happy as a clam.
Transformers, Diablo, Bioshock, Spider-Man. All good to go with me.
Darksiders 2 is a Maybe. I'll see how the game plays first.
And OMG, a game with Metal Gear in the title I actually want to play! Gone are the days of whining about how Mankind sucks every three seconds, and back are the FUN days of the first two MG's for NES.
Everything else: NADA

Those are all great games. Anyone know of any good video games sales ?
