Thrilled to see Fire Emblem on there, the GBA ones are the best ones they ever brought out. I was thinking they'd throw Advance Wars in there, but I really didn't expect Minish Cap. I'd rather have that than AW any day!

Good selection of games, just wish that one, or both, of the Golden Suns were there and it was either of the two Fire Emblems on the GBA that weren't Sacred Stones. Would've been nice to get a localization of FE6 out of this.

Still, only game I probably won't play is Warioware and thats just because I could never get into them.

Can't wait.

Seeing as I'd hate to use the horrible password system, maybe they could alter the link cable transfer to just check for save data on the system.

Yeah. :)

It was a good game, just way too easy. Even its hard difficulty was easy. It was actually my first FE, so it does hold a spot in my heart, but I would've liked to see one of the more difficult games.

Don't even have a 3DS right now, and probably still won't unless I break down after Christmas and get one or just wait for an improved version.

@Co Haha, wow that's the first time I've been downvoted this much. Don't worry it's not like I go around saying that to people's faces. Actually the only time I say crap like that is to my Californian friends, and we all realize how dumb it is.

I don't know why, but this made my morning.

Nice, never played Minish Cap cool to see I'm getting it for free. So weird I've got a lot of Zelda games for free. Zelda I and II from ambassador program, Majora's Mask and OoT from Nintendo Power Gamecube disc, and now Minish Cap free.

After the original NES Zelda turned me off the franchise, it was Minish Cap who brought me back. The Kinstone mechanic was pure stupidity, but otherwise it's an amazing game.

You have to think about people that weren't around when the original first came out. The NES Zelda was hard, impossible to tell where you were going, and overall just not as good. If you still play it today you're playing it more for the nostalgia than anything else.

Yeah, no joke. I started playing my ambassador version on the 3DS recently. I only played it a few times as a kid on my grandparents NES, so I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. It is insanely hard! But, nonetheless, I will persevere since Zelda is my favorite series.

Don't listen to them. LOZ is a classic, but it doesn't hold up at all so many years later. It's borderline unplayable in 2011, as much charm as it may have for those of us that grew up with it.

It's just not cool to say so.

@MEMgrizzlies7 I severely disagree with the fact that it's a bad game. It's a hard game and it doesn't lead you by the nose, you actually have to do exploring... so it helps that I've done it a few times and know of it's secrets. But the whole idea is that it's an "adventure" game not a rail experience you were supposed to find where to go.

@greyseal I couldn't disagree more the game is still exceptional. "Modern standards" mean that the game holds you hand and your practically on rails. Even games that claim to be open world are usually not truly open world. Try Dark Souls I loved Demon's Souls and knew that one of the hooks was dying by suprise so I specifically didn't watch anything for it. Then when I started playing I was completely shocked at how there is no sense of direction. You are dropped in the world and pretty much just told "Hey go ring these two bells." Begin quest, you have to actually explore and discover where to go where the secrets are etc etc. You can look it all up now I'm sure but imo that ruins part of the experience. Gamers today have fallen into this scenario where if everything isn't explicitly laid out for them where to go what to do the game is considered bad. I will admit it is a nice feature to have sometimes but it's gone too far to where we're playing mostly slightly interactive movies.

@Vic Fontaine Sp00ky that you?

There's a few I don't care for - Mario vs. Donkey King, Maro Kart Super Circuit, and the inferior version of Yoshi's Island, but it's still a good list (at least they didn't give us something as pathetic as Golf like they did for the NES games).

I thought Kirby had already been announced but I guess not. It's my favourite Kirby game though so I'm happy it's there. Actually, I don't believe I ever finished the game.

I've been meaning to buy Minish Cap and still haven't although I have got to play some before, so this is good news. I personally believe the 3DS is THE best console for playing Zelda games. There must be about half of them on the system now.

I had almost beaten Metroid Fusion but my SP and DS both died in some way or another (I think the DS has a dead screen, similar to my GBA SP's half-dead LCD that killed itself) so I have only had my brother's systems to play on but I haven't really bothered since it's not the same. I'll fix them eventually, and make the ambassador copy obsolete. Oh, who am I kidding? That game is great. I'll probably beat it in both consoles.

Overall, I'm petty happy with the list, and was surprised to see Fire Emblem but I'm still not sure if I feel that Nintendo has made things better for early adopters. Oh well, I already spent my money, so...

Arguably the gamecube is the best - if you include the promo disc and the GBA player you can have basically any zelda you could ever want (except SS obviously).

I agree, but only because of the shitty controls thrown down our throats in SS. Swordplay, and arrows/slingshot worked great, but flying, swimming, and skydiving...... oh god the skydiving................

And to make matters worse all of this could have been handled with a joystick no problem, but they choose shitty, brokem MC instead? It's such a damn shame, because otherwise it's one of, if not the best Zelda ever, but these segments make it my least favorite 3D Zelda.

And the DS Zelda's were awesome, especially Spirit Tracks.

Yes, I think Twilight Princess is probably the... least good 3D zelda, but its better than most games in the past decade.

I agree that motion controls in SS were horrible in alot of situations, but that game had so much more to offer. The general flow of the game was great. There are fun puzzles everywhere. The world is dense with adventure. Even collecting these tears didn't seem to drag on as much as it did in TP (to be clear: I *love* TP).
@Oddgirl
Which brings me back to the DS titles. They just didn't feature *anything* worthwhile other than an "innovative" control scheme. I can't stress this enough: Hitting a number of switches in a certain order that you have to read somewhere is *not* a puzzle. Putting that in a game once in a while is fine, but PH and especially ST outside the tower seemed to be made up entirely of switch sequences.

Also, I really do think the controls in Skyward Sword for the most part were excellent.

The flying wasn't great (I think the limited scope of the sky was a bigger problem), and ok, the swimming could get pretty frustrating at some points, but those were relatively minor elements. The sword fighting was 99.99% of what mattered, and in my opinion they were perfect.
